Los Angeles Clippers at Portland Trail Blazers (-3.5, 206 o/u)

One of the best games of the week in the NBA goes tonight as the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center (10:30 p.m. Eastern).

The Blazers are one of the most dominant home teams in the NBA, winning 18 of 21 at the Moda Center this year.  Their strong play has led the team to a 30-8 record, overall, good enough for second in the Western Conference (and third in the NBA).

Portland’s strong play has continued of late, with the team winning four straight including a 106-94 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in their last outing.

“It’s a great accomplishment to have 30 wins in 38 games,” Blazers point guard Damian Lillard said. “We’ve just got to keep the same mentality that we’ve had and always remember that we are an elite team. And we’ve got to keep proving that every night and stay locked in.”

The Clippers (25-13), on the other hand, will try to bounce back after a horrible showing against the Miami Heat. The Clippers lost 104-90 at home, dropping just their second game in the month of January.

The Clippers got off to a strong start against Miami, but managed just 14 points in the fourth quarter. “That’s the thing that is so frustrating,” forward Blake Griffin said. “We started the game well and just didn’t do a good job after that.”

The Blazers are 3.5-point favorites for tonight’s game, and the over/under is at 206.  Los Angeles has won seven of the last ten in the series, but Portland has covered the spread in the last three.
