The NBA odds have the hometown Dubs as slight 2-point favorites, with a total set at 228.5. Golden State was a sparkling 31-10 on their home court last season, the second-most wins in the NBA.
Their 4-1 home mark has kept them afloat this year, as they are a grim 0-6 on the road to star the season.
Cleveland Betting Outlook
After seeing their 8-game win streak stopped at the hands of the Clippers, the Cavaliers (8-3, 4-3 away) took a second straight loss, a 127-120 defeat at the hands of the Sacramento Kings.
That’s the most points the Cavs have surrendered in a game this season, a team that ranks eighth in points against at a tidy 107.4 per contest.
Sacramento shot 52.6% from the field, including a 17-for-39 mark from downtown, a 43.6% clip. Defending the three-point line is not one of Cleveland’s strengths early on this season. Teams are shooting 36% on the year, which ranks them 19th.
Donovan Mitchell had 38 in the loss last night.

The Cavs were led by Donovan Mitchell, who tied a season high with 38 points, while adding five rebounds and four assists. It’s the seventh time he’s led the team in scoring this season, and the eighth time he’s crossed the 30-point plateau.
Caris LeVert had 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while Jarrett Allen had 20 points and seven rebounds. It was a rough outing for Darius Garland, who shot 1-for-9 from the field for six points — his lowest total since four in his season debut against Toronto.
Still, Cleveland shot 53.5% from the field, 42.3% from deep, outrebounded SacTo 42-24 and pounded them inside, outscoring them 64-40 in the paint. The difference in this close game? The Kings shot 35 free throws, outscoring Cleveland by 13 from the stripe.
Golden State Betting Analysis
It took Steph Curry’s best performance of the young season to get the Warriors back into the win column.
The 2022 NBA Finals MVP dropped a season-best 47 points on 17-for-24 shooting to help the Dubs down the Sacramento Kings 116-113 on Monday night. Curry added seven three-point hits, half of the Warriors’ 14 on the evening, as they shot 36.8% from deep.
It’s hard to pin GState’s slow start on Curry: he’s averaging 32.6 points per game, while grabbing 7.1 rebounds and 6.9 dimes.
He was one of four starters to score in double digits. Andrew Wiggins had 25 points, 10 rebounds and a pair of steals, while Draymond Green added 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The Warriors got just enough stops to pick up the win, but their defense has been a mess in the early going.
They are surrendering a whopping 120.6 points per game, which is 2nd-last in the NBA, above only San Antonio. They’re the only two teams giving up at least 120 a game. Even the third-best offense in the league, pumping in 117.3 points per contest, can’t outscore all the problems.
Part of their struggles have to do with turnovers, as they average 16.7 a game, the fourth-worst mark in the league. Teams are cashing in, as the Dubs allow 21.7 points off turnovers, which ranks 28th.

Cavaliers vs Warriors Prediction
Golden State has dominated this matchup, having won 10 straight against Cleveland. This is a different Cavs squad, though, with the addition of Mitchell, who’s been a dynamo in his first season in The Land.
Cleveland boasts an elite offense as well, scoring at the 7th-best clip in the league at 116.6, while ranking second in the league with a 40.1% mark from deep. They’re one of two teams to shoot better than 40% from distance this season.
Expect fireworks for this one. Golden State has been off for four days, and the over has hit in six of their last seven games with that rest factor. The over is 6-1 in Cleveland’s last seven games against teams with a winning home record.
Pick:
- OVER 228.5 points (-110); 1.5 units to win 1.36 units
- NBA Betting Record: 5-5 ATS, 1-0 ML, 1-0 o/u; +0.94 units
