- LAC embarrassed the Mavs on Sunday to take 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven first-round series
- Below, find the Dallas Mavericks vs LA Clippers Game 2 odds, player props, and predictions
No Kawhi Leonard, no problem for the LA Clippers (52-31, 26-16 home, 38-45 ATS) in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series with the Dallas Mavericks (50-33, 25-17 away, 47-36 ATS). The Clippers opened a ludicrous 56-30 lead by halftime and cruised to a 109-97 victory on Sunday night.
But with Leonard likely to miss his second straight game with a knee injury, oddsmakers have once again listed Dallas as a slight road favorite in the Mavericks vs Clippers odds for Game 2, which tips off at 7:10 pm PT/10:10 pm ET on Tuesday at crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Dallas Mavericks vs LA Clippers Odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |

LA Clippers | +2.5 (-115) | +110 | Under 216.5 (-105) |
After entering Game 1 as 3.5-point chalk, the Mavericks are listed as 2.5-point road favorites over the Clippers in Game 2 and -133 on the moneyline to even the series at one game apience. The Clippers are +110 underdogs to take 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The game total has plummeted from 221.5 to 216.5.

The winner of the Mavs/Clippers series will face the winner of the #8 Pelicans/#1 Thunder in the second round of the NBA playoff bracket. OKC currently holds a 1-0 lead after a narrow 94-92 win on Sunday night.
Leonard is the only player on either team listed on the DAL/LAC Game 2 injury reports.
LAC’s New “Big Three”: Harden, George, and … Zubac?
James Harden (28 points, eight assists) and Paul George (22 points, six rebounds, three assists) were both rock-solid for the Clippers on Sunday, and they got a big helping hand from center Ivica Zubac, who added 20 points and a game-high 15 rebounds to help the Clippers finish +4 on the glass.
On the Dallas side, Luka Doncic had a game-high 33 points on 11-of-26 shooting plus 13 rebounds, and six assists, while Kyrie Irving added 31 points on 10-of-18 from the field. But the Mavs supporting cast was basically non-existent. The rest of the Dallas squad had just 33 points on 10-of-36 shooting from the field (27.8%).

The Mavericks are now 1-3 against the Clippers this season and have lost three in a row to LAC, all by at least nine points.
Dallas players not named Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are on a dismal run dating back to the regular season. Both stars sat out the Mavericks’ final two games of the regular season, which resulted in a 107-89 home setback to the NBA-worst Detroit Pistons, and a thoroughly embarrassing 135-86 loss at the Thunder (which OKC led 82-41 at halftime).

Mavericks vs Clippers Game 2 Prediction
For the better part of the last two weeks, Dallas’ supporting cast has barely looked like they belong in the G-League, let alone the NBA. Doncic and Irving were both decent in Game 1 but that wasn’t nearly enough to keep the Mavs competitive.
While the Clippers are undoubtedly a better team with Kawhi in the lineup, they are plenty used to playing without him, going 8-7 in 15 games sans Leonard this year, considerably better than their 11-22 record without Kawhi last year (including postseason). The Clippers even went on a four-game win streak without Leonard late in the regular season, which included wins home wins over Denver and Cleveland, and a road win at Phoenix.
I don’t expect Dallas’ slump to come to an end tonight, and I love the value on the Clippers at plus-money.
DAL vs LAC Game 2 picks:
- Clippers moneyline (+110)
- Zubac over 13.5 points (+102)
