Odds as of December 4th at Fanduel.

Markkanen Gets Hot From Downtown

Lauri Markkanen has proven to be a nice addition to a promising Cavs team, averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. While he is known to be a rather decent shooter, the former Chicago Bulls forward is draining just 33% of his triples this season.

However, Markkanen is looking a lot more efficient lately. In Cleveland’s fourth-straight win on Friday against the Washington Wizards, he went 4 for 12 from three-point land, dropping 15 points on the night. In fact, Markkanen has hit the over in long balls in three of his last four games.

Although Utah is relatively decent at defending the perimeter, the Cavs are rolling right now and Markkanen is getting into a rhythm. Cash in.

Pick: Lauri Markkanen Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+118)

Another Impressive Night For VanVleet

Fred VanVleet has solidified himself as one of the Toronto Raptors’ most important pieces as they look to become a contender again. He’s also enjoying a terrific campaign so far, posting averages of 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.2 dimes on 39% shooting from beyond the arc.

VanVleet currently leads the Raptors in scoring and is a primary offensive option alongside Pascal Siakam. The 27-year-old is thriving over the last handful of games, too. He’s hit the over in points four of five contests, most recently erupting for 29 in a huge win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.

The Wizards meanwhile are sliding and coincidentally enough, VanVleet showed out for 33 points in early November against Bradley Beal and Co. The Toronto guard is feeling it right now and I expect him to torch Washington again.

Pick: Fred VanVleet Over 19.5 Points (-106)
