Another Massive Game for Capela on the Glass
Clint Capela has been a breath of fresh air for the Atlanta Hawks this season. After the Houston Rockets traded him to ATL last February, Capela sat out the remainder of the year due to an injury. But once the big man made his debut in 2020-21, it’s been nothing but domination.
Capela is currently 2nd in the NBA with 14.4 rebounds per game, which is currently a career-high. The Hawks center has enjoyed some ridiculous performances this season around the hoop. He collected 26 boards in a win over the Detroit Pistons last month, then just days later, put up a triple-double with 19 rebounds and a mind-boggling 10 blocks.

Capela has always been a force on the glass, but it seems like he is thriving in a new system. As for Atlanta’s opponent on Wednesday in the Dallas Mavericks, they’ve struggled immensely as of late. Rick Carlisle’s team also allow the fourth-most boards per game in the league at 57.5 and an NBA-worst 63.7 rebounds in their last three appearances.
Capela is going to take advantage. Bet on the over.
Pick: Over 13.5 Rebounds (-138)
Wood Takes Over Again for Houston
One of the best stories of this NBA season has been the resurgence of Christian Wood with the Houston Rockets. After jumping around between various organizations over the last few years, it looks like Wood has found a home in H-Town.
The former UNLV star is posting insane numbers this season across the board, especially in the scoring department. He’s averaging more than 10 points more per game than his career average, currently dropping 23.3 per night. Wood is leading the Rockets in scoring and has been their most consistent player by far.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 25th in the association in defensive rating while also sitting in the bottom 10 of the league in points allowed per contest. Wood hasn’t had any issues erupting against much better opponents, scoring 22 against the Lakers and 31 vs. Portland.
With a young Thunder team really not posing any serious threat, expect the Houston star to show out and continue to make his case for an All-Star appearance and the Most Improved Player of the Year.
Pick: Over 22.5 Points (-114)
