A game after the Warriors blew out the Lakers, LA responded with a convincing win of its own in Game 3. The Lakers crushed Golden State 127-97 on Saturday to take a 2-1 series lead, and can now take a 3-1 series stranglehold with another victory in Game 4.

That contest is scheduled for Monday night in LA, where once again online sportsbooks are bullish on LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Co. The Lakers opened up as the home chalk in the NBA odds, as they look to maintain their perfect record at home in the playoffs.

Golden State vs Los Angeles Betting Splits

Much like the lead up to Game 3, the bulk of the spread betting action is favoring Golden State. The Warriors are currently drawing 57% of the ATS tickets as of Sunday night, and 63% of the spread handle.

Total-wise, over 227 is garnering the majority of the action. 61% of the over/under wagers thus far are on that side of the total, but those bets are only accounting for 52% of the handle.

Warriors vs Lakers Series Odds

Team Odds
Golden State Warriors +160
Los Angeles Lakers -195

As for the series odds market, LA is back to being heavy favorites to advance in the NBA playoff bracket. The Lakers Game 3 victory moved them from +100 underdogs to -195 favorites, while Golden State fell from -120 favorites to +160 underdogs.

GS vs LAL NBA Betting Trends

Success for LA in Game 3 was predicated on defending better on the perimeter. Mission accomplished on that front, as the Lakers held the Warriors to just 13 triples, on 29.5% shooting. That’s a far cry from the 21 threes Golden State splashed in Games 1 and 2, but that’s not the only defensive area where LA saw improvement.

They forced 19 Warriors turnovers and sent them to the line only 17 times. That was 20 fewer free throw attempts than they had the previous game, as the Lakers couldn’t seem to do any wrong.

LA shot 52.5% from the field and 48.4% from three. Anthony Davis led the way with 25 points and 13 boards, while LeBron James had a quiet 21. D’Angelo Russell also put up 21, as the Lakers turned an 11-point second quarter deficit into a 18 point lead by the end of the third.

On the other side, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson produced average outputs by their standards, combining for only 38 points. Andrew Wiggins chipped in 16, while the other two Warriors totalled only 4 points. Jordan Poole meanwhile, was only 2-of-9 from the field for 5 points, and without secondary scoring Golden State could be in big trouble.

That’s especially true given how well the Lakers have played at home during the postseason. LA is 5-0 so far at home in the Play-In Tournament and playoffs, with an absurd defensive rating of 95.2. For context, the best defensive rating during the regular season belonged to Cleveland at 109.9.

Warriors vs Lakers Predictions

The Lakers held the Warriors under 100 points for just the fifth time all season, while going on five separate runs of 8-0 or better. LA is 51-6 all-time when leading a best-of-seven series 2-1, but let’s not count out the defending champs just yet.

All three games so far in this series have fallen in between 224 and 229 points. Golden State couldn’t have possibly played worse in Game 3, and we should expect them to bounce back offensively. In each of the four previous instances this year where they produced less than 100 points, they came back the next game and put up at least 113.

Warriors vs Lakers Same-Game Parlay Picks

Team Odds
Over 220.5 -205
Steph Curry 25+ Points -320
Anthony Davis Over 12.5 Points -210
Andrew Wiggins Under 17.5 Points -140
Same-Game Parlay Odds +380

We’ll start our Warriors vs Lakers same-game parlay with an alternate total of 220.5, and pair it with 25+ points for Steph Curry. Golden State’s season is virtually on the line on Monday, and we can expect Curry to play with serious urgency.

We’ll continue the SGP with over 12.5 rebounds for AD, a number he’s crossed in five of his last seven games. Under 17.5 points for Andrew Wiggins will be our final leg, as he’s just not seeing enough shot volume to warrant a big game. Wiggins is averaging only 11 shots per outing in Round 2, which is over three shots less than his season long mark. Add it all up, and we’re looking at a +380 pay day if it hits.

Pick: Same-Game Parlay (+380)
