Odds as of January 1st at FanDuel.

Butler Dropping Dimes

Jimmy Butler is finally healthy and has helped the Heat win five straight games. He dropped 37 points on NYE against the Rockets then also collected 25 just a few nights before that while also dishing out a mind-boggling 15 assists. It’s well-known that he is one of Miami’s best playmakers, averaging 5.5 dimes per game this season.

Even with Kyle Lowry back from COVID-19 protocols, Butler is still doing a fantastic job of creating for his teammates. After collecting only two assists vs Houston, you’re going to see the veteran take advantage of a poor Sacramento Kings defense on Sunday, who allow the 18th-most dimes per night.

Pick: Jimmy Butler Over 5.5 Assists (-110)

Wagner Continues Scoring Streak

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner is flying under the radar as one of the best rookies in the Association. He’s currently averaging 15.8 points and 4.7 rebounds on 37% shooting from long range and 45% from the field. Although the Magic have lost four in a row, the big German is certainly doing his part.

Wagner has hit the over in points in four of his last five games, even erupting for a career-high 38 earlier this week against the defending champion-Milwaukee Bucks. The athletic wing was having his way with the Bucks’ defense, attacking the rim with authority and draining countless shots from beyond the arc. In fact, he had 20 points against Giannis and co. on Thursday night as well.

Orlando’s opponent on Sunday, the Celtics, are decent defensively but they lack consistency. I don’t think the Magic are going to win here, but Wagner is going to have another big night and continue his scoring tear. Boston’s frontcourt won’t be able to stop him from showing out on the offensive end.

Pick: Franz Wagner Over 18.5 Points (-116)
