Garland Continues to Shine

The Cavaliers may have only won two of their last six games, but guard Darius Garland is certainly doing his part. The former Vanderbilt standout has stepped up heavily since Ricky Rubio tore his ACL, basically serving as the leading catalyst in this offense. With Collin Sexton also out, Garland realizes that he needs to lead by example and he’s doing exactly that.

In Friday’s win against the Portland Trail Blazers, the 21-year-old dropped a game-high 26 points while also dishing out six assists. In fact, Garland has hit the over in points in six straight games, averaging an impressive 24.3 points during that span.

Now even though Cleveland is up against one of the best defensive teams in the league on Sunday in the Warriors, Garland is in his bag right now. He’s scoring from everywhere and continues to be a key piece of the Cavs’ success on a nightly basis. If you need more convincing, he erupted for 25 in November against Golden State, too.

  • Pick: Darius Garland Over 19.5 Points (+100)

DeRozan Dropping Dimes

DeMar DeRozan keeps shining for the Bulls and proving that he is a surefire All-Star and a possible MVP candidate this season. Chicago has now won nine straight and the veteran has played a massive part, scoring over 20 points in every single game except one. However, his impact goes a lot further than just getting buckets. DeRozan is also one of their best playmakers.

On the season, the 32-year-old is averaging 4.6 dimes and he’s hit the over in assists in five of the last six contests. On Friday night in a victory vs. Washington, DeRozan wasn’t feeling it so much offensively, dropping just 15 points. But, he got his teammates going, dishing out eight assists.

As we know, the Mavericks are very depleted right now, with both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis out for Sunday’s contest. On top of that, DeRozan supplied six assists in November against Dallas. Given his recent brilliance as a whole on the offensive side of the ball, ride the over here.

  • Pick: DeMar DeRozan Over 4.5 Assists (+112)
