The undefeated Sacramento Kings (5-0, +11.2 DIFF) and Charlotte Hornets (5-0, +16.0 DIFF) meet in the 2025 NBA Summer League on Sunday night at 7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Though the Hornets have a stunning +16.0 point differential to go along with their 5-0 win/loss record, it’s the Kings who are listed as slight favorites for tonight’s Summer League finale.

The first table below sets out the best available Kings vs Hornets spread, moneyline, and total for both sides. Under the table, find my SAC/CHA picks and predictions.

Sacramento Kings vs Charlotte Hornets Odds

Bet TypeKingsHornets
Spread-1.5 (-120) at BetMGM+2.5 (-108) at DraftKings
Moneyline-120 at Caesars+120 at DraftKings
TotalO 187.5 (-110) at bet365U 187.5 (-110) at FanDuel

The Kings/Hornets spread ranges from SAC -1.5 to -2.5. Kings bettors can find Sacramento -1.5 at BetMGM, though with -120 juice. The best spread option for Hornets bettors is +2.5 (-108) at DraftKings. Logically, DraftKings also has the longest moneyline odds on a Charlotte victory, listing the Hornets at +120 to win. Charlotte is +114 or shorter at all other sportsbooks. The best Kings moneyline is -120 at either Caesars or bet365. There is no range whatsoever on the total; all books currently list the O/U at 187.5 with -110 odds each way.

In addition to having the best Summer League records, Sacramento and Charlotte also have the best point differential through five games. But Charlotte (+16.0) is leaps and bounds ahead of Sacramento (+11.2). Charlotte also posted that ludicrous +/- while playing a tougher schedule, at least on the surface. The combined record of the Hornets’ five opponents to date is 14-11. The Kings’ quintet of opponents went just 11-14.

Both teams won their semifinal games with relative ease. The Hornets handed OKC its first loss with a 109-80 beatdown, winning all four quarters by at least four points. Jaylen Sims, a 26-year-old guard who played his first six NBA games last year, had a game-high 25 points, while 2025 fourth-overall pick Kon Knueppel added 17.

Knueppel is averaging 14.3 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 4.3 APG in four Summer League games. (He was given a rest against the 76ers on Saturday, July 12.) Fellow 2025 draft pick KJ Simpson leads Charlotte in scoring, averaging 17.0 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 5.8 APG while playing all five games so far.

Liam McNeeley, the 29th pick in this year’s draft, missed his third straight game due to a sore Achilles. The former UConn Husky came out of the gate flying, averaging 18.0 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and 4.0 APG in a team-high 29.1 MPG in Charlotte’s first two Summer League games before being sidelined. It’s unclear if he’ll play in Sunday’s title game.

The Kings took down the previously-unbeaten Raptors in their semifinal game on Saturday, 98-88. Like the Hornets with Sims, Sacramento was also led by a relative veteran in their semifinal victory; 25-year-old Isaac Jones (17.2 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 1.6 APG) had a monsterous 36 point on 13-of-17 shooting from the field.

Prior to the semis, it was 24th-overall pick Nique Clifford (16.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 4.6 APG) who had been spearheading Sacramento’s romp through Summer League. The third senior taken in this year’s draft, the 23-year-old Clifford had scored at least 17 points in each Summer League game before yesterday’s semifinal clash with Toronto, when he was held to just seven points on 3-of-8 shooting in 27 minutes.

Kings vs Hornets Picks & Prediction

Charlotte has been a slightly better team throughout the 2025 Summer League while playing a slightly more difficult schedule. I was surprised this game wasn’t listed as a pick’em, and will very happily take the plus-money odds on the Hornets to win straight-up. There is no longterm incentive for Charlotte to push McNeeley (Achilles tendinopathy) to play, but he hasn’t been ruled out. If he’s able to go, it would give the already-stacked Hornets an even-more formidable lineup.

I’m also going to bet the under on Clifford’s point total of 16.5. As mentioned, he’d gone over that number in the first four games, but then was limited to just seven in yesterday’s semifinal. While both teams would certainly like to win, neither coaching staff will be approaching this with a must-win attitude. Clifford, who’s averaging over 27 minutes in these 40-minute Summer League games, appeared to be showing sings of fatigue on Saturday. He wasn’t nearly as aggressive as he had been in his first four outings, and now he’s going against a solid defense on zero days’ rest.
