Despite their recent woes, the NBA odds have the Jazz as 2-point home favorites, with a total set at 242.5.
Sacramento currently sits in sixth and above the play-in fray in the West. They have an 8-9 mark on the road.
Utah is holding onto the last play-in spot in 10th, They are 12-6 at home this season.
Sacramento Betting Outlook
The Kings got smacked into 2023, dropping a 118-108 loss on the road in Memphis.
It was a game where Sacramento was overwhelmed, surrendering 21 offensive rebounds, while getting outscored 64-44 in the paint. It didn’t help that they also turned the ball over 15 times.
Domantas Sabonis had 18 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, while De’Aaron Fox had 19 points, four rebounds and six dimes. He had 24 points and 10 assists and a snatched body the last time he played the Jazz.

The Kings, who are second in the NBA in scoring at 118 points per game and fourth in shooting at 48.7%, shot just 40.6% in the loss.
Sacramento’s porous defense has been an issue all year, as they surrender 116.7 points per game, which ranks 24th in the league. They allow teams to shoot 48.8% from the field, the worst mark in basketball.
They’re also a little dinged up, as Kevin Huerter (back) and Malik Monk (shoulder) are both questionable Tuesday.
Utah Betting Outlook
They’ve been far from blown out, but the Jazz’s recent 4-game slide has them under the .500 mark for the first time this season.
Utah dropped a 126-123 decision to the Heat last time out, watching a Tyler Herro three-ball sink at the buzzer. It’s the third time during this skid they’ve allowed 126 points. On the year, they’re right with SacTo in scoring defense, giving up 116.6 points per game (23rd).

Lauri Markkanen led the team in scoring for the seventh time in the last eight, going for 29 points and 14 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists.
On the year, the Jazz are fourth in scoring, putting up 117.3 points per game, though they’re outside the top 10 in both field goal shooting and three-point shooting.
Teams have run wild on the Jazz, as they allow the 2nd-most fastbreak points per game, and that’s part of the reason they’re dead last in points allowed in the paint, at 56.2. Right behind them? The Kings, who are giving up 54.9 per contest.

Kings vs Jazz Prediction
Sacramento has not been a great bet of late, as they’re 0-5 against the spread in their last five games. They’re also just 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine against the Jazz.
Utah hasn’t made much hay against teams struggling on the road, running a 1-4 ATS mark in their last five home games against teams with a losing road record.
These teams are so evenly matched, it’s built to bet on the total, even one that seems a little high at first glance. Sacramento and Utah are top-4 scoring teams in the league, and bottom 10 in points allowed, while giving up a ton of points in the paint.
Throw in the fact that the over is 4-0 in their last four meetings, as well as the last four in Utah, and we expect nothing more than offensive fireworks.
- Pick: OVER 242.5 points (-110); 1 unit to win 0.91 units
- NBA Betting Record: 18-15 ATS, 1-1 ML, 2-3 o/u, 0-2 parlays; -3.19 units
