Tonight’s Knicks (8-4, 0-3 away) vs Heat (7-6, 5-1 home) matchup is short on star power. That’s because two of the best players from each team are sitting out due to injury. Online sportsbooks believe the New York situation is more dire, pegging Miami as home favorites in the latest NBA odds.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm ET, from the Kaseya Center, in Miami, FL, with FanDuel SN Sun providing the broadcast coverage.
Below you’ll find the latest Knicks vs Heat odds, plus an injury report and my favorite predictions and picks.
NY Knicks vs MIA Heat Odds
As of Monday at Noon ET, the Heat are favored by 1.5 points and -122 on the moneyline. The Knicks come back as +105 underdogs, while the total sits at 244. These two teams just played a 272 point game on Friday, but I don’t expect to see the same type of offensive efficiency from either side tonight.

Knicks vs Heat Injury Report
Let’s start with the injury situation. New York will missing both Jalen Brunson (ankle) and OG Annunoby (hamstring), arguably their two best players. Brunson leads the team in scoring (28 ppg) and assists (6.5 apg), and is dealing with the less severe injury of the two. He’s expected to return during the Knicks current road trip, but the outlook isn’t as positive for Annunoby.
OG is expected to miss at least two weeks with his hamstring issue. Annunoby is the team’s third leading scorer, and perhaps their best all-around defender. His loss opens up more playing time for Landry Shamet, who exploded for 36 points in Friday’s win over the Heat.
As for Miami, they’ll will be without Tyler Herro (ankle) and Bam Adebayo (toe). Herro hasn’t played all season due to an ankle issue, while Adebayo has been dealing with a toe injury for the last two weeks. The duo when healthy are the Heat’s primary offensive weapons, but this team has gotten used to playing without them, and leaning on veteran Norman Powell.
Knicks vs Heat Predictions and Picks
- Heat Moneyline (-122 at FanDuel)
The injury situation is dire for both teams, but the Heat are better equipped to handle the absences. Davion Mitchell has excelled as the team’s primary ball handler and distributor all season long, averaging 8 assists per game.
Powell meanwhile, is in the midst of an incredible run, averaging 27 points and 4 made threes per game this month. The 32-year-old dropped 38 points on Friday versus New York, splashing 8 triples along the way. He’s put up 33 or more in two of his last three outings, shooting 50% from three during that stretch.
Miami is also getting valuable contributions from Jamie Jacquez Jr., who’s poured in 20+ points in two of three. He’s put up at least 9 rebounds in three of his last four, with three 7+ assist outings during that span as well.
Miami Heat Advanced Stats
Despite the significant injuries they’ve been dealing with, the Heat are 12th in offensive rating and 14th in Net Rating. They grade out better than the Knicks on the defensive side of the ball, and proved in Friday’s 140-132 loss in New York that they can match offense with the top-5 NBA Championship odds contender. The Knicks got some outrageous contributions from role players like Shamet in that outing, and that’s just not an outcome we can expect a repeat of.
It’s important to note that game was at Madison Square Gardens and now Miami is back home. They’re 5-1 in their own building so far, and beat the Knicks there back in October, with Brunson and Annunoby in the lineup.
New York is 0-3 on the road so far this season, and I don’t see them picking up first road W without Brunson and OG. Sure, they still have Karl Anthony-Towns to lean on, but he’s in the midst of the worst true shooting percentage season of his career. KAT has especially struggled from behind the arc, splashing only 34% of his threes, after being north of 41% in his two previous campaigns.
