Odds taken March 26th from FanDuel

Jerami Grant Continues to Flourish

Sometimes a change of scenery is all a player needs to flourish. Maybe it was more about opportunity than scenery for Jerami Grant, but whatever it was, he is absolutely killing it this year. With his fifth team in seven seasons, Grant has finally put it all together. He has more than doubled his career scoring average this season and is far and away “the guy” in Detroit this season.

Grant’s point total looks to be a little low tonight in a game where his team could be chasing points against a bad defense. The Brooklyn Nets are one of the least efficient defenses in the NBA, ranking 25th in the metric. The Nets also represent a pace up spot for the Pistons as they are 10th in the association in possessions per game.

Form is not an issue tonight, as Grant has gone over 23.5 points in each of his last two games. The Pistons played the Nets almost two weeks ago and while Grant only scored 22 points, he also only took 17 shots. Over his last three games he has fired off at least 20 attempts so there’s hope he does it again tonight. As a result, he could easily go over his points prop.

  • The Pick: Jerami Grant Over 23.5 Points (-118)

Don’t Sleep on OG Anunoby

The Toronto Raptors were rumored to be sellers at the trade deadline, but only ended up unloading Norman Powell. The biggest winner from that trade seems to be OG Anunoby – who figures to be in line for more usage on offense. He’s a capable scorer who has already shown flashes of what he is capable of in the NBA.

Anunoby has only been back from the Covid-19 protocols for three games and he’s scored at least 15 points in all three. What’s most promising is that in his last two games, he’s averaging 15.5 shot attempts per game. If he takes anywhere near that many shots tonight, he should fly over his points prop.

  • The Pick: OG Anunoby Over 13.5 Points (-120)
