  • Same-game parlays are a fun wager to make if you’re trying to cash big
  • Like playing the lottery, you can wager a little to win a lot
  • See the 15-1 Mavericks vs Jazz same-game parlay we made for Game 2

The post-season is the perfect time for Same-game parlays (SGP) because rarely do games overlap. This way, you can focus all of your betting action on one contest and then either roll over your winnings or reload for the next game on the schedule.

Monday’s NBA slate brings us three opportunities to create Same-game parlays, and we’ve come up with a 15-1 bet for Game 2 of the Mavericks vs Jazz First Round series.

Jazz vs Mavericks Odds

Team Moneyline Spread Total
Utah Jazz -210 -5 (-110) O 205 (-110)
Dallas Mavericks +175 +5 (-110) U 205 (-110)

All odds as of April 17th at DraftKings.

The main storyline to monitor ahead of this game is the health of Luka Doncic. Dallas’ all-world point guard has yet to be ruled out, but is unlikely to play according to various reports. If he does sit, that would justify the Jazz being listed as 5-point road favorites, and it will also up more opportunity for the Mavs Jalen Brunson.

Doncic missed the first game of the series with a calf issue he’s still dealing with and Brunson took full advantage. He scored 24 points and dished out five assists, logging over 41 minutes of action.

Brunson took a season-high 24 shots in that outing and if not for some poor efficiency he would have had a monster game. He shot just 37.5% from the field which is a far cry from the 50.2% mark he posted during the regular season.

Brunson’s usage goes from 16.8% with Doncic on the floor, to 21.9% with him off the court this season. He also sees a dramatic increase in his assists per 100 possessions, going from 4.9 with Doncic, to 10.2 without. Let’s start our SGP with 30 or more points plus assists for Brunson.

Not every Mavs player will get a bump without Doncic though, as Dorian Finney-Smith is still an auto fade on the glass. Finney-Smith has reached six rebounds only once in his past 11 games, and is not likely to find a ceiling game on the glass against Utah, the NBA’s third best rebounding team. Under 5.5 rebounds for Finney-Smith is the second leg of our SGP.

Sticking with the rebounding theme, let’s target 16 or more rebounds for Rudy Gobert as the third leg of our SGP. Gobert has produced at least 17 boards in back-to-back outings, and has reached 16 rebounds in six of his past nine contests.

He’s also hit that mark in two of his past three outings against Dallas, and the matchup versus the Mavs is even more favorable now that Doncic, the team’s leading rebounder, is unlikely to play.

The penultimate pick for our SGP is over 4.5 assists for Donovan Mitchell. Utah’s All-Star shooting guard has recorded at least five assists in six of his past seven outings, and in three of his past four meetings against Dallas.

Last, but not least, let’s tie our SGP all together with three of more three-pointers for Bojan Bogdanovic. The Jazz forward has been launching triples lately, attempting an average of 8.3 three’s per outing over his past 12 games.

Bogdanovic is shooting 38.7% from three this season, burying at least three triples in seven of his past 12 contests.

Donovan Mitchell Over 4.5 Assists -170
Bojan Bogdanovic 3 or more Threes -110
PARLAY +1500

Add it all up, and we’re looking at a +1500 pay day if all five wagers go according to plan. This SGP was built at DraftKings Sportsbook, but a similar bet can be constructed at any of the other leading online sportsbooks as well.
