Adebayo Dominates Down Low
It’s no secret that Miami is at a clear advantage with Embiid sidelined for the 76ers. That being said, Bam Adebayo is one player in particular who is heavily benefiting from the big man’s absence. The Heat center dominated in Game 1, putting up 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. A huge reason for this is Philly’s lack of depth at the five. Doc Rivers is literally starting DeAndre Jordan right now, a player who didn’t even suit up at all in the first round.
He is clearly past his prime while Bam’s athleticism and physicality proved to be too much for Jordan. Adebayo was having his way down low, whether he was scoring at the cup or draining mid-range jumpers. Not even the undersized Paul Reed could contain the Miami star, either. But it’s not just his offensive production that should be the focus here. Points+rebounds are going to hold massive value.

The over/under is set at 29.5, which should easily be hit. The Sixers’ biggest issue is interior defense sans Embiid and I fully expect Adebayo to expose them again and impose his will.
- Pick: Bam Adebayo Over 29.5 Points+Rebounds (-122)
Ayton Continues to Thrive
One man who is surely going to earn a pay raise this summer is Suns big man Deandre Ayton. He flourished during the regular season but it’s in the playoffs where the former first overall pick is really making a loud statement, averaging 21.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on a stellar 68% clip from the field. Ayton was brilliant once again in Game 1 against the Mavs, balling out for 25 points and grabbing eight rebounds.
His game has significantly improved and the Dallas frontcourt really couldn’t contain him. Ayton is scoring in a variety of ways and he showcased just that on Monday. The ex-Arizona star had his floater in the lane going all night long, converted several alley-oops, and had Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber scratching their heads as he sank numerous two-pointers from all over the court.
Deandre Ayton is currently the @NBA's all-time career playoff leader in field goal percentage.

If you need more convincing, Ayton has hit the over in points in five of his last seven games. The 23-year-old is thriving and the Mavs showed no signs of being able to limit his production in the series opener.
- Pick: Deandre Ayton Over 19.5 Points (-102)
