One contest sure to deliver offensive fireworks is the Washington Wizards-Indiana Pacers matchup, as the two rank 30th and 25th respectively in scoring defense. The two clubs have met twice already this season, and have averaged a whopping 275.5 points per outing, despite neither contest going to overtime.

Washington’s Russell Westbrook has been putting up video game numbers all season, and is the first target on our Saturday player props card.

Prop #1: Russell Westbrook Over 13.5 Assists

Westbrook has recorded 58 assists over his past three games. Think about that for a minute. He’s fresh off back-to-back 17 assist performances, and the game prior he dished out 24 helpers against this same Indiana team.

He’s racked up double-digit assists in 17 of his past 19 outings, while consistently playing 40 minutes a night. Saturday’s contest is a pivotal one for Washington, who is trying to lock down a spot in the play-in tournament, so there’s no doubt Russ will receive his normal allotment of minutes barring an injury.

Westbrook recorded 21 assists in his first meeting with the Pacers this season, and another big assist total is likely here. Only two teams allow more opponent assists than Indiana, who also surrender the league’s 11th highest shooting percentage to opposing teams.

Pick: Russell Westbrook Over 13.5 Assists (-122)

Prop #2: Stephen Curry Over 35.5 Points, Under 6.5 Assists

Our next target is Stephen Curry, who has a mouthwatering matchup against OKC. The two-time MVP has set the league on fire with his scoring all season long, and is in line for another big night against the NBA’s fifth worst scoring defense.

Curry leads all scorers in points per game, 40+ point games, three-point attempts and makes, and has scored at least 36 points in four of his last seven contests. Last time out, he splashed 34 points against this same Thunder squad in only 31 minutes. That just happened to be one his lowest minute totals over the past few weeks, and if he can get closer to his season average (34.1) on Saturday, the sky is the limit.

It’s easy to be incredibly bullish on his points outlook, however there’s reason to be bearish on his assist projection. Curry has been shooting a ton in recent outings, and his assist totals have suffered. He’s cleared 6 helpers in just four of his past 12 games, and with his focus on securing the scoring title, there’s little doubt he’ll have a score first mentality. All signs point to him having a monster night, with his 10th 40-point game well within his range of outcomes.

Pick: Stephen Curry Over 35.5 Points (-106), Under 6.5 Assists (-158)
