  • A massive 12-game slate is on the NBA schedule on Thursday, December 18th
  • I have asked our A.I. to generate its top player prop picks for each game
  • See today’s best NBA player props to target

Thursday’s NBA schedule should have bettors salivating. A massive 12-game slate is on the docket, starting with a pair of 7pm ET tips and culminating with Kings vs Trail Blazers at 10pm ET.

Several players enter tonight positioned for massive performances. Victor Wembanyama gets a dream spot against Washington’s porous defense, while Jalen Johnson continues his breakout campaign for the Atlanta Hawks against Charlotte. With injuries reshaping rotations and usage rates, the prop market is ripe with value for bettors who can identify the right spots.

In light of that, I have asked our internal A.I. to analyze each game and come up with its best player prop to target (at least one per game). The table below sets out each pick. Under the table, find the A.I.’s rationale and one-click options to tail the wagers.

Matchup Analysis & Prop Breakdowns

Atlanta Hawks @ Charlotte Hornets

Jalen Johnson Over 33.5 Points + Rebounds (-128) – A.I. rationale: “benefits from both his expanded role and Charlotte’s defensive vulnerabilities. The Hawks forward has consistently exceeded 20 points in recent contests while maintaining double-digit rebounding production. Charlotte’s inability to contain athletic forwards creates an ideal spot for Johnson to reach this elevated total.”

Miles Bridges Over 27.5 Points + Rebounds (-119) – A.I. rationale: “gains significant appeal if LaMelo Ball remains sidelined. The Hornets forward would assume primary offensive responsibilities against an Atlanta defense that has struggled to contain versatile scorers. His rebounding floor provides additional security for this combination prop.”

New York Knicks @ Indiana Pacers

Jalen Brunson Over 36.5 Points + Assists (-120) – A.I. rationale: “represents exceptional value considering his established usage patterns and potential lineup changes. The Knicks guard has consistently delivered 25+ point performances while maintaining assist totals above 7.0 per game. Indiana’s fast-paced approach should create additional possessions for Brunson to accumulate both categories.”

Pascal Siakam Over 31.5 Points + Rebounds (-113) – A.I. rationale: “leverages his role as Indiana’s primary frontcourt weapon. The versatile forward faces a Knicks defense that can be exploited by skilled post players, while his rebounding consistency provides a reliable floor for this combination total.”

Miami Heat @ Brooklyn Nets

Bam Adebayo Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds (-114) – A.I. rationale: “becomes significantly more attractive with Herro’s absence creating additional scoring opportunities. The Heat center’s rebounding remains elite regardless of game script, giving this prop multiple paths to success against Brooklyn’s undersized frontcourt.”

LA Clippers @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Kawhi Leonard Over 9.5 Rebounds + Assists (+104) – A.I. rationale: “gains tremendous value from Harden’s absence, forcing Leonard into expanded playmaking duties. The forward’s rebounding has remained consistent throughout his career, while his assist totals should spike with additional ball-handling responsibilities against Thunder’s aggressive defense.”

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 36.5 Points + Assists (-110) – A.I. rationale: “represents a premium play on the league’s MVP frontrunner. The Thunder guard has consistently exceeded 30 points while maintaining assist averages above 6.0, making this total very reasonable against even elite defensive competition like the Clippers.”

Washington Wizards @ San Antonio Spurs

Marvin Bagley III Over 13.5 Points + Rebounds (-117) – A.I. rationale: “offers solid value against San Antonio’s young frontcourt. The Wizards forward should find scoring opportunities in the paint while his rebounding provides a reliable foundation for reaching this modest total.”

Victor Wembanyama Over 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-118) – A.I. rationale: “stands as the slate’s premier opportunity. The Spurs sensation faces Washington’s league-worst defense in multiple categories, creating an ideal environment for a dominant all-around performance across all statistical categories.”

Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans

Alperen Sengun Over 38.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115) – A.I. rationale: “reflects his role as Houston’s offensive hub. The versatile center consistently contributes across all categories, making this elevated total achievable through his unique skill set and high usage rate.”

Zion Williamson Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-120) – A.I. rationale: “appears undervalued for a player of his physical dominance. The Pelicans forward’s ability to score efficiently in the paint while contributing on the offensive glass gives this prop excellent value in a home environment against Houston’s defense.”

Golden State Warriors @ Phoenix Suns

Stephen Curry Over 5.5 Threes (+108) – A.I. rationale: “represents exceptional value in tonight’s marquee matchup. When plus-money odds surface on the greatest shooter in NBA history, it demands serious consideration. This Warriors-Suns contest projects as a fast-paced, high-scoring affair where Curry’s volume should spike significantly. The line varies across books (4.5 at FanDuel, 5.5 elsewhere), but Curry’s track record in marquee games suggests he’ll rise to the occasion against Phoenix’s vulnerable perimeter defense.”

Detroit Pistons @ Dallas Mavericks

Cade Cunningham Over 26.5 Points (-115) – A.I. rationale: “leverages the Pistons’ offensive hierarchy. Cunningham commands elite usage as Detroit’s primary creator and scorer. While the Mavericks present a challenging matchup, Cunningham’s shot volume and aggressive mindset in road environments make this total achievable, especially if the game script forces Detroit to chase points.”

Toronto Raptors @ Milwaukee Bucks

Scottie Barnes Over 32.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-115) – “Barnes operates as Toronto’s primary facilitator and versatile contributor across all statistical categories. With Antetokounmpo sidelined, the Bucks lose their most impactful defender and rebounder, creating additional opportunities for Barnes to impact multiple facets. His combination of ball-handling responsibilities and rebounding instincts positions him well to exceed this total.”

Bobby Portis Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds (-106) – A.I. rationale: “Portis directly benefits from Antetokounmpo’s absence, absorbing significantly increased minutes and usage. His energy and opportunistic scoring make him ideally suited for expanded responsibilities. Against Toronto’s interior defense, Portis should find ample scoring chances while cleaning the glass effectively.”

Los Angeles Lakers @ Utah Jazz

Lauri Markkanen Over 32.5 Points + Rebounds (-112) – A.I. rationale: “Assuming he clears the injury report, Markkanen serves as Utah’s offensive engine and primary rebounding threat. His versatile scoring ability and rebounding instincts position him well against the Lakers’ frontcourt. The combination line reflects his dual-threat capabilities.”

Orlando Magic @ Denver Nuggets

Paolo Banchero Under 3.5 Assists (-121) – A.I. rationale: “With Wagner and Suggs sidelined, Banchero loses his most reliable passing targets and playmaking outlets. Denver’s disciplined defense should force him into a more scoring-focused role, limiting his assist opportunities. The depleted supporting cast makes this under particularly attractive.”

Jamal Murray Over 6.5 Assists (-121) – A.I. rationale: “Murray orchestrates Denver’s offense with precision and creativity. Against Orlando’s compromised defensive personnel, he should find numerous opportunities to create easy scoring chances for teammates. His playmaking consistency makes this a strong target.”

Sacramento Kings @ Portland Trail Blazers

Keegan Murray Over 16.5 Points (-105) – A.I. rationale: “With Sabonis absent, Murray absorbs additional shot attempts and offensive responsibilities. His improved shooting efficiency and expanded role make this scoring total achievable against Portland’s rebuilding roster. The usage shift creates clear value in his scoring props.”

Jerami Grant Over 2.5 3-Point Field Goals (-118) – A.I. rationale: “As Portland’s primary scoring option, Grant will likely need to match Sacramento’s offensive output from beyond the arc. His recent three-point volume and accuracy suggest he’s capable of exceeding this total in a potentially high-scoring contest. The Trail Blazers’ offensive reliance on his perimeter shooting supports this selection.”
