The Phoenix Suns will be in the City of Brotherly Love taking on the 76ers in the first half of a doubleheader on NBA TV Wednesday night (7:00 PM EST).

The Suns come into this one winners of 12 of their last 14 games. The latest was a 128-127 overtime thriller over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. The 76ers will look to get back on track after getting waxed 107-96 by Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors last time out.

Phoenix has owned this series recently winning and covering in each of the last three meetings. The books are expecting more of the same as the Suns are slight one-point favorites this time around. As always, there are plenty of props to consider.

At the time of publishing, the status of Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris is still up in the air so we will look at the Suns’ side of the ball.

Odds as of April 21st

No Boards For Crowder

Jae Crowder is no doubt an important piece in the Phoenix Suns’ rotation. He’s a three-and-d guy that fits perfectly into the role the Suns envision for him. This role has him shooting an almost career-high 6.2 three-pointers per game. Even better, he is draining them at a 38.5% clip.

The issue tonight for Crowder is that his role leaves him behind the three-point line and not near the basket. This has led to his lowest rebound total in four years. In his last seven games, he has failed to reach at least five boards in five of them.

On top of this game possibly being played at a slower pace, the 76ers are one of the better rebounding teams in the NBA. In fact, they sit fifth in the association in rebounding percentage. This seems like a great spot to back Crowder’s rebounding total under 4.5.

  • The Pick: Jae Crowder UNDER 4.5 Rebounds (-148)

Deandre Ayton Night

The Phoenix Suns need Deandre Ayton to shine if they are going anywhere this season, and he is more than shining at the moment. Ayton has recorded seven double-doubles in his last nine games. He’ll get another shot tonight against Joel Embiid, and judging by the way he looked against Giannis Antetokounmpo last time out, he is up for the challenge.

It’s getting to the point of the season where coaches are beginning to think about getting their starters more minutes which bodes well for Ayton. He’s playing 31 minutes per game over his last nine, and having Embiid on the other side will help him tonight.

While Embiid is a force, oppositions get theirs against him. Just last game, Kevon Looney grabbed 15 boards in 33 minutes. The game before that, Ivica Zubac pulled down seven in only 15 minutes. This looks like a great spot to combine Ayton’s points with rebounds as the matchup is prime for him to go for 30+ in the two categories.

  • The Pick: Deandre Ayton OVER 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-111)
