Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons Player-Prop Pick

Jarrett Allen Over 9.5 Rebounds (+125 at BetMGM)

With Donovan Mitchell sidelined, the Cavaliers lose their primary perimeter creator, likely forcing the game into a slower, more physical grind suited for their frontcourt. With the Cavaliers’ backcourt depleted, defensive stability becomes paramount. Allen is the anchor of this unit, and without Mitchell’s offensive gravity, there will likely be more missed shots and scrappy possessions. Detroit ranks poorly in interior efficiency, providing Allen ample chances to clean the glass. At plus money, this is a strong value play given his increased responsibility.

Boston Celtics vs Brooklyn Nets Player-Prop Pick

Jaylen Brown Over 29.5 Points (-102 at FanDuel)

The Nets will look to exploit their athleticism in the paint against a Boston team adjusting its rotation. The math here is simple: without Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown becomes the primary option on nearly every possession. His usage rate skyrockets in games where Tatum sits, and he will be tasked with matching Brooklyn’s scoring output. The line of 29.5 is high, but entirely reachable given the volume of shots he is expected to take.

New York Knicks vs Milwaukee Bucks Player-Prop Pick

Jalen Brunson Over 25.5 Points (-105 at BetMGM)

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s absence removes the Bucks’ most potent rim protector and offensive force, shifting the leverage toward New York’s guards and Milwaukee’s supporting cast. Brunson is a master of the mid-range and paint penetration. Without the “Greek Freak” patrolling the lane, Brunson should find significantly less resistance at the rim. The Knicks will rely on him to control the tempo, and 25.5 points is a manageable number for a scorer of his caliber facing a compromised defense

Dallas Mavericks vs Memphis Grizzlies Player-Prop Pick

GG Jackson II Over 15.5 Points (-109 at DraftKings)

The Grizzlies’ youth movement continues to provide fantasy and betting value. GG Jackson II has shown flashes of elite scoring ability, and with Ja Morant out, the green light is on. He is not afraid to shoot, and in a game that could lack defensive structure, he should find plenty of opportunities to score in transition and isolation

Denver Nuggets vs Oklahoma City Thunder Player-Prop Pick

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 28.5 Points (-106 at FanDuel)

The night’s marquee matchup features the 2024 champion Nuggets against the defending champions Thunder. However, injury clouds hang over the Thunder frontcourt, potentially tipping the scales in the paint. MVP candidates show up in big games. With Jalen Williams out, the scoring burden falls squarely on SGA. He is adept at drawing fouls and getting to his spots in the midrange. Against a Denver defense that can be navigated by elite guards, expect Gilgeous-Alexander to be aggressive from the tip-off to keep his team in the game.

NBA Injury Report Impacting Tonight’s Props

Before locking in any wagers, it is critical to account for the substantial absences shaping tonight’s slate.

          • Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks): His absence is a key factor in our projection for Brunson to clear his scoring total. Offensively, expect Bobby Portis to see extended minutes and increased shot attempts to compensate for the missing production in the frontcourt.
          • Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers): Cleveland will be without their leading scorer, as Mitchell has been ruled Out with a groin injury. With Max Strus (foot) also sidelined and Dennis Schröder listed as Questionable (ankle), the Cavaliers’ backcourt depth is severely tested. This puts a heavier rebounding and defensive burden on Jarrett Allen to stabilize the lineup against Detroit.
          • Kyrie Irving (Dallas Mavericks) & Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies): The matchup between Dallas and Memphis is defined by missing star power at the point guard position.
          • Jalen Williams (Oklahoma City Thunder): SGA takes on an even larger offensive burden against Denver with Williams out of the lineup.
