The Warriors (3-5, 0-4 away) are reeling, but the scheduling powers have granted them a gift on Thursday. A date with the lowly Magic (1-7, 1-1 home), which is precisely what Golden State needs to snap its three-game losing streak.
Oddsmakers seem to agree, as they expect the defending champs to get their first victory in a week, after pegging them as the road chalk in the NBA odds.

Golden State Warriors Betting Analysis
Following Golden State’s loss at Detroit on Sunday, Steve Kerr voiced his concern over the team’s lack of urgency this season. The Warriors must not have been listening. Two nights later, their sloppy basketball continued en route to a 116-109 loss to the Heat.

Golden State committed 20 turnovers and six more fouls than Miami. They yielded at least 110 points for the seventh straight game, and at least 116 points for the sixth time in seven outings. After ranking second in defensive rating last season, the Warriors currently sit 25th in that category, while ranking 29th in scoring defense.
Offensively versus the Heat, Steph Curry put up monster numbers yet again, while his supporting cast largely let him down. Curry finished with his 10th career triple-double (23 p, 13 r, 13 a), and shot 50% from the field.

Just two other Warriors finished in double figures, as Andrew Wiggins poured in 21 points and Klay Thompson splashed 19 points. That tied a season-high for Thompson, and the Dubs are going to need more from him moving forward. He enters play averaging only 13 points per outing, which is his lowest mark since his rookie year.
Thanks to Curry and his 30 points, eight rebounds and seven assists per game, Golden State is still an offense not to be reckoned with. They’re ninth in scoring, and have cleared 112 points in six of eight outings.
Orlando Magic Betting Analysis
Orlando enters play having dropped back-to-back games, and seven of eight contests to start the season. The team is littered with young, promising talent, but they’ve been sloppy and inefficient so far.
The Magic rank bottom-three in scoring, and bottom-10 in field goal percentage. Only eight teams commit more turnovers, and they also foul at one of the 10 highest rates.
Defensively, they’re slightly above average in points against and enemy field goal percentage, and rank 16th in defensive rating.
The Orlando Magic:
• Future Star Power
• Athlete Anomalies
• Always Competitive
• Point Guard who talks endless shit
• Microwave Scorer who does nothing else
• Top Tier Mascot
• Cant win a game to save their livesThe perfect League Pass team.

Orlando is fresh off a 116-108 defeat to OKC, in a game where Wendall Carter Jr. went off. The former top-seven pick scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed 12 boards. It was his fourth double-double of the season, and he has a nice matchup on Thursday against this Warriors defense that is just average at defending the paint.
Paolo Banchero, the second pick in this year’s draft, chipped in 15 points and eight boards, and enters play averaging 22 points per night. That’s tops among all rookies, and he’s also grabbing eight boards and dishing out four assists.
https://t.co/wWGNmWnCY9’s updated rookie ladder:
1. Paolo Banchero
2. Bennedict Mathurin
3. Keegan Murray
4. Jaden Ivey
5. Jabari Smith Jr.
6. Jalen Duren
7. Shaedon Sharpe
8. Jeremy Sochan
9. Tari Eason
10. Jake LaRavia— NBACentral (@TheDunkCentral) November 2, 2022
The Magic also feature last year’s fifth overall pick Jalen Suggs, but have a glaring hole at the other guard position. Both starting point guard Cole Anthony and backup Markelle Fultz are dealing with long term injuries, while Terrence Ross, who started versus the Thunder, is questionable on Thursday with a knee issue.
Warriors vs Magic Prediction
Despite their offensive inefficiency, this is a spot where the Magic should be able to put up solid offensive numbers. Golden State’s defense has been dreadful, while the Warriors are going to push the pace forcing Orlando to play fast to keep up.
Golden State leads the NBA in pace, which has helped them go 6-2 to the over this season. All but one of their games have cleared 226 points, and the one that didn’t fell just a single point short.
The Magic’s latest outing versus OKC, who rank seventh in pace, went over and this one should as well.
