After a demolishing the San Antonio Spurs — on a second night of a back-to-back, no less — the Golden State Warriors will try to carry that momentum from Chase Center onto the road, where they’ve yet to win a game all season.
It won’t be an easy one, either, as they visit the Phoenix Suns, who led the league a season ago in home wins.
Phoenix returns back to their cozy confines after just one win on a 4-game trip, but they could be short-handed (more on that below).
It all gets underway Wednesday (Nov 16) at 10pm ET from the Footprint Center, in a game you can see live on ESPN.

The NBA odds have the Suns as 1.5-point favorites, in a game that features a total of 226.5.
Golden State is one of three teams yet to win on the road, their 0-7 mark tying the Pistons for worst road record, while the LA Lakers are winless at 0-5.
Phoenix, meanwhile, are tied with the Mavericks and Dubs with the most home wins in the West, with six.

Golden State Betting Outlook
Even minus Klay Thompson, who sat out for rest, Golden State delivered their best offensive performance of the year, dropping a season-high in points in a 132-95 obliteration of the Spurs.
Jordan Poole did much of the heavy lifting in this one, dropping a season-high 36 points, drilling 5-for-10 from downtown. Poole was one of six Warriors to score in double figures.

Stephen Curry totaled just 16 points, the first game all year he’s failed to score 20+, while adding five boards and five assists. He’s currently sixth in the league in scoring at 31.6 points per game, while adding 6.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
His shooting splits this season have become so ordinary, only because they are so Steph: 52.3% shooting from the field, and 43.3% from three-point range (on 11.5 attempts per game), while hitting at a 92.1% clip from the free throw line.
Perhaps the best sign from Monday’s win was their defensive effort, as it was the first time all year they’ve allowed less than 100 points in a game — a marked improvement for a team that is still last in points allowed per game this season.
Phoenix Betting Outlook
It probably wasn’t the way the Phoenix Suns wanted to end their road trip. Up 13 in the fourth quarter, the Suns watched their lead slip away in a 113-112 loss. It was capped by a spectacular Jimmy Butler block on a Devin Booker jumper to seal it.
Booker still had a chance to win with a 3-pointer, but that rimmed out, sending Phoenix to their first back-to-back losses on the season, and their first when up 13.
The Suns were without Chris Paul, who sat out with a heel injury, and he’s listed as questionable against the Dubs. Landry Shamet (concussion) has already been ruled out, and the team is already without Cam Johnson (knee) for the foreseeable future, while Jae Crowder is away from the team.

Booker led the Suns against the Heat with 25 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. It’s the 10th time in 13 games he’s led the team in scoring. DeAndre Ayton chipped in with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, there’s still a lot to like with the Suns, who are second in the league in point differential (+6.4), and along with the Cavaliers, are the only two teams to rank top four in both offensive and defensive rating.
Warriors vs Suns Prediction
This is the second matchup between these teams, in what could be a preview of the Western Conference Finals. Phoenix hammered GState 134-105 on October 25.
Booker pumped in 34 and seven dimes, while getting into a chippy and heated spat with Klay Thompson, leading to Thompson’s first career ejection. Curry had 21 points — which was his lowest output of the season before Monday.
The Suns have proven to be a good bet on the bounce back: they are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following a loss. They’re also 5-1 ATS in their last six home games.
Golden State is just 1-4 ATS in their last five in Phoenix.
Assuming Paul does suit up, I’d take the Suns -1.5. If he is ruled out, try looking at the total, where these teams have hit the under in 11 of the past 14 meetings, and six times in the last eight meetings in Phoenix.
Picks:
- UNDER 226.5 (-110); 1 unit to win 0.91 units
- NBA Betting Record: 6-6 ATS, 1-0 ML, 2-1 o/u; +0.80 units
