What Time Is the NBA Draft?
The broadcast coverage of the 2025 NBA Draft will start at starts at 8:00 pm ET. But that doesn’t mean we’ll start seeing picks made at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT. Teams have four minutes to make their selection. so Dallas will likely take the stage around 8:05 pm ET.
If you’re only interested in one particular team that’s further down the board, here’s the full draft order for the first round, plus the estimated pick time for each team.
Keeping in mind that the NBA Draft is a massive TV event these days, you can expect the producers to make sure the next pick doesn’t take place until the full four minutes from the previous team has been made. It’s not a coincidence that the broadcast coverage is scheduled for two hours and four minutes x 30 picks = exactly two hours.
Of course, trades are likely throughout the night, so the team that’s currently slotted into each of the draft positions can and, in some cases, will change.
How to Watch the NBA Draft
The NBA Draft will be broadcast live on ABC and ESPN. ABC will carry just the first round, while ESPN will cover both rounds. As mentioned, the broadcast coverage starts at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT.
SBD has been tracking the NBA Draft odds since they opened, and it’s no secret that Cooper Flagg is going to be the first pick. But there are plenty of other ways to wager on it.
