The Ivy League title game will feature the two favorites in the conference as the Yale Bulldogs (18-11, 11-3 Ivy League) take on the red-hot Princeton Tigers (23-5, 12-2 Ivy League) on Sunday. The tip-off is scheduled for 12 PM EST at the Lavietes Pavilion and the game can be seen on ESPN2.
Yale just edged out Penn in the semis on Saturday behind a big performance from guard Azar Swain. As for Princeton, they won their eighth straight game, beating Cornell by four.

The Bulldogs and Tigers met twice this season, each winning a game apiece. Their most recent matchup saw Princeton secure an 81-75 victory last month. They’re also a 2.5-point favorite for the title game.

Yale Keep Improving
Yale started off the season with a 6-8 record but since the turn of the year, they’ve improved drastically. James Jones’ squad has gone 12-3 since January, with one of their only losses coming against Princeton. Through this tournament so far, the Bulldogs have also looked very good.

Their last game of the season was easy pickings as Yale cruised past Brown thanks to another consistent showing from Azar Swain, who drained 22 points. The guard was the leading catalyst on Saturday against Penn as well, scoring 25 and essentially sending his team through to the final.
Only one other player finished in double-digits, but the entire rotation did chip in. The Bulldogs shot the ball efficiently, posting a 43% clip from long range and 48% from the field.

Jones’ team will need Swain, the fifth-year senior, to rise to the occasion here if they’re going to have any shot of winning this contest. He’s a big game player who is capable of hitting clutch shots. Swain must set the tone and continue his torrid run.
Princeton Is Hot Entering Final
The Tigers are currently unbeaten in eight games and certainly aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. They rank 10th in the nation in offensive efficiency and shoot the three-ball at a ridiculously productive rate, sinking 38.5% of their attempts, which is fifth in the NCAA.

Princeton certainly made it rain against Cornell, shooting 44% from deep, with Jaelin Llewellyn going 4 for 6 en route to scoring a team-high 23 points. Big man Tosan Evbuomwan also did his part, posting 21 points, six boards, and six assists. What is so special about this group is that numerous guys can get it done offensively.
BULLDOGS TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
After a close battle between two extremely talented programs, @YaleMBasketball came out on top in a, 67-61, victory over Penn. The Bulldogs secure their spot against Princeton in the Ivy Madness championship game.🌿🏀@TIAA | #IvyMadness pic.twitter.com/CPKUy7BSXf

Four different players average more than 10 points per night, led by Llewellyn and Evbuomwan who put up 15.4 apiece, while Ethan Wright isn’t far behind at 14.7. That being said, Mitch Henderson’s team has a three-headed monster who is having their way each and every game.
The question is, can they do so again in a span of just 24 hours against one of the only teams in the conference who beat them.
Yale vs Princeton Prediction
I honestly don’t see Yale beating Princeton here. The Tigers are rolling and no one is stopping them during this epic streak. With the spread at just 2.5, they’re going to cover. Their star trio will get it done and book a ticket to the Big Dance.
