This weekend will be huge in the college football world beginning Friday night when the Iowa Hawkeyes pay a visit to the Maryland Terrapins as three-point road favorites. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm ET on Fox Sports 1. Both teams come into this one undefeated so the steaks will be high for both teams.

Tonight’s game is just an appetizer as the action Saturday will be non stop beginning at noon ET. We’re talking Michigan vs Wisconsin, Texas vs TCU, OU vs Kansas State, Indiana vs Penn State, Arizona State vs UCLA and Minnesota vs Purdue just to name a few.

Player props are becoming a more popular way to bet football and now we are now seeing them all the time in the college football ranks. FanDuel has given us a few to choose from on either side for many of the players in action this weekend. This is where we will focus our attention in this piece.

DTR Will Put on a Show Saturday Night

Dorian Thompson-Robinson is known as a dual-threat quarterback – and he is. The thing about dual threat quarterbacks is all we think about when we think of them is the fact that they can run. Bettors and sportsbooks alike can’t forget about the fact that Thompson-Robinson is more than capable of dropping dimes.

Saturday night’s game with Arizona State is low-key one of the best games on the slate. The Arizona State defense is stout but they really haven’t been tested. Especially through the air. So far this season, Dorian Thompson-Robinson seems hellbent on proving he can throw the ball. So far the results have been three straight games with at least two touchdown passes.

I think he makes it four straight games with two touchdown passes Saturday night.

  • The Pick: Dorian Thompson-Robinson Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-125)

Max Duggan Will Toss TDs

If the TCU Horned Frogs want to beat the Texas Longhorns as 4.5-point underdogs Saturday, they will need Max Duggan at his best. He’s been great this season leading TCU to a 2-1 record so it’s not crazy to think he is up for the challenge. Texas will definitely remember him from last year’s game.

Duggan has done a lot of damage with his legs in the past but this season he’s showing off his arm. In three games this season he’s thrown at least two touchdowns in two of them. Saturday’s game against Texas has a total of 65.5 so we are expecting to see points. All we need is Duggan to throw two touchdowns to cash this bet. I think he does it.

  • The Pick: Max Duggan Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-113)
  • College QB Player Prop (TD Passes) Record: 0-2 -2 units
