We’ll start with the game that has seen the biggest movement to its point spread. Air Force opened up as 13.5-point favorites over Colorado, but that number did not last long.

Biggest Week 2 Spread Move

The Falcons have been bet up to 17.5 point favorites, and can be found as high as -18 depending on which online sportsbook you use.

This will be the first meeting between these two programs since 1974, and judging by the current betting splits, the line movement might not be done. 77% of the current money wagered against the spread is backing Air Force. Given the fact that the Falcons have won five straight dating back to last year, while the Buffaloes have dropped nine of 12, we could see this line climb another point or two.

It also doesn’t hurt that Air Force was dominant in Week 1, while Colorado was blown out at home.

Biggest Week 2 Total Move

In terms of the largest mover in the over/under market, it appears oddsmakers drastically overrated the offensive prospects in the Marshall versus #8 Notre Dame contest. The game opened with a 58.5-point total, but that number has been slashed to 49.5.

This is a clear case of public versus sharp action. The public is hammering the over, accounting for 72% of the tickets so far on the total. Despite the under only drawing 28% of the bets, those wagers represent 60% of the handle. That means big bets are backing the under, which is a strong indication of sharp action.

Biggest and Smallest Week 2 Spreads

#4 Michigan looked fantastic in Week 1 piling up 51 points versus Colorado State. Now, we’ll see if they can cover a 52-point spread versus an 0-2 Hawaii program. That spread is the largest of the week, and one of two above 40 (Ohio State -44 vs Arkansas State).

The Rainbow Warriors have scored just 27 points in two early season contests, and bettors aren’t buying an offensive resurgence against a tough Wolverines D. Michigan is currently drawing 71% of the ATS money even as a gigantic favorite.

Oregon State versus Fresno State is the matchup with the lowest total in Week 2, but the line has done a complete 180. The Beavers opened up as 1.5 point underdogs, but are now favored by a point. Big money has started to come in on the Bulldogs now that they’re catching points. 60% of the ATS money on just 37% of the bets is backing Fresno State which suggests the line might move back towards them.

Biggest and Smallest Week 2 Totals

As far as the largest Week 2 total is concerned, it’s no contest. The Kent State versus Oklahoma over/under is currently at 72.5, 3.5 points higher than any other matchup. The betting splits are fairly even as of this moment, so it will take some big money bets to move the total one way or another.

In terms of the lowest over/under on the slate, that belongs to the Iowa State versus Iowa matchup. That total currently sits at 40, 6.5 points lower than any other contest. The Hawkeyes’ defense ranks seventh per SP+ so far, while the Cyclones check in at number 38.

76% of the over/under bets and 84% of the money wagered on the total is on the under, meaning there’s nowhere but down for this number to go.
