Last week #2 Alabama was the biggest favorite on the board and they came through with a 63-7 pounding of UL Monroe, easily covering the 49.5-point number.
This week, it’s #1 Georgia’s turn. The Bulldogs are the massive 45-point home chalk over Kent State, a number that’s risen during the week.
Kent State vs Georgia Spread
This line opened at Georgia -42, and has been ticking up ever since. As of Friday morning, the betting splits suggest the line movement might not be finished. 87% of the against the spread wagers and 86% of the ATS money is backing the Bulldogs.
Kent State coach Sean Lewis of playing Georgia this week … #GoDawgs
'I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say it’s the greatest collection of talent that’s ever been assembled on a football team.'
'I mean, it’s a galaxy collection of stars and talent all over the place.'

Georgia has outscored its opponents 130-10 through three weeks, easily covering the two games where a spread was offered. They pounded Oregon, a top-25 team, 49-3 to open the season, and waxed SEC rival South Carolina 48-7 last week.
Kent State meanwhile, has faced two top-25 opponents so far this season, losing both games by a combined score of 78-23.
TCU vs SMU Spread
The smallest spread on the board comes from the TCU versus SMU matchup. This game opened as a pick’em, but the overwhelming amount of spread action on the Horned Frogs moved this number to TCU -1.5. 74% of the ATS bets and 83% of the ATS handle is on the favorite, which suggests this line could go higher.

Both teams enter play with two wins on their resume, however, TCU grades out slightly higher per ESPN’s FPI. The Horned Frogs rank inside the top-40 in both pass and run defense, while the Mustangs have been plagued by turnovers in recent outings.
USC vs Oregon State Total
For the second straight week, the game with the most projected offensive fireworks will be featured on Pac-12 after dark. USC, the seventh highest scoring team in the nation, heads to Oregon State in a game with a 70.5-point total. The high number isn’t discouraging over bettors, however, as 58% of the money bet on the total is on over 70.5.
That percentage isn’t likely high enough to push this number further up, and it’s worth noting that two of the Trojans’ three games have failed to produce 70 points.
Heading into Corvallis for a battle of 3-0 teams, #7 USC is averaging 50.7 points-per-game and 520.0 yds per game; but Oregon State is putting up numbers of its own with 45.7 ppg and 468.3 ypg.
Which defense steps up?

Oregon State has shown major flashes of offensive potential this season, albeit against much inferior competition. They put up 68 points on Montana State last week, after averaging 34.5 points in their first two outings versus Boise State and Fresno State.
Iowa vs Rutgers Total
While USC is featured in the highest totaled game for the second straight week, Iowa is featured in the lowest totaled game yet again. Their contest with Iowa State carried a slate low 39.5 point total in Week 3, and Saturday’s contest at Rutgers has a measly 34-point total.

It’s the only contest with an over/under south of 45 and there’s reason to believe it could shrink. 70% of the over/under bets as well as 77% of the money wagered on the total is on under 34. In three games this season, the Hawkeyes have surrendered 10 total points.
If the line closes at 34 it will be tied for the lowest scoring total in college football since 2000.
Georgia Tech vs UCF Spread
In terms of the biggest spread move, that honor belongs to the Georgia Tech versus UCF contest. The Knights opened as 15-point favorites, but that number has been bet up to 20.5. The line is likely to continue to move in UCF’s direction, as 94% of the money bet on the spread is backing them.

Tech has looked miserable in two games versus FBS teams so far, allowing a combined 83 points to #16 Ole Miss and #5 Clemson, while scoring only 10.
Texas Tech vs Texas Total
Total wise, no game has moved more than Texas Tech versus Texas. The over/under opened at 67.5, but that number didn’t last long. Early money bet the line down to 61 and judging by the relatively even betting splits, that’s likely where it will stay.
52% of the over/under handle is on over 61, while 48% of the money is backing under that number. Don’t expect any further movement unless some gigantic wagers come in late.
