Spencer Rattler Passing Touchdowns

South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler finished the 2022 college football season on a tear. In fact, Rattler lit up some of the best teams in the country down the stretch.

Spencer rattled off 1,044 yards and 10 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions in the Gamecocks final three games. Moreover, those contests came against the #5 Tennessee Volunteers, #8 Clemson Tigers and the #21 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Additionally, North Carolina ranked near the bottom of the ACC in almost every defensive category last season. The Tar Heels surrendered 30.8 points per game while recording an ACC-low 17 sacks. This Saturday’s South Carolina vs North Carolina battle could quickly turn into a shootout. That’s great news for Spencer Rattler and all of your college football week 1 player props bets!

While this is a juicy line, you’ll just have to eat it and take the win. Walk your Spencer Rattler over 1.5 touchdowns ticket to the bank on Sunday morning.

College Football Week 1 Player Props Pick: Spencer Rattler Over 1.5 touchdowns (-160), Risk: 2 units

Bru McCoy Receiving Yards

Much like Spencer Rattler, Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Bru McCoy finished last season on a high note. Clearly McCoy enjoyed himself in the Volunteers final three games, as he racked up 16 receptions for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns.

While the Volunteers lost starting quarterback Hendon Hooker to the NFL draft, capable backup Joe Milton takes the reigns this season. A phenomenal athlete with a cannon for a right arm, having Milton under center should allow the Volunteers to pick up right where they left off. After all, Tennessee led the nation with 511.3 offensive yards per game in 2022.

In even more good news for college football week 1 player props bettors, the Virginia Cavaliers face several questions on defense heading into 2023. After a standout season, three-time All-ACC linebacker Nick Jackson transferred to Iowa. While the first All-ACC cornerback duo in Virginia history have both left the program, as Fentrell Cypress transferred to Florida State, and Anthony Johnson entered the NFL draft.

Josh Heupel’s offense will undoubtedly give McCoy every opportunity to go to work against an overmatched Virginia secondary on Saturday. Look for the firm of Milton and McCoy to lead Tennessee to victory on Saturday at noon.

College Football Week 1 Player Props Pick: Bru McCoy over 63.5 receiving yards (-115), Risk: 1 unit
