  • The LSU Tigers are 10-point road favorites over the Texas A&M Aggies in their college football game on Saturday, November 26
  • LSU is 10-0 against the spread in the last 10 games against the Aggies
  • The 9-2 Tigers are currently situated #5 in the College Football Playoff rankings

Tens are wild where the LSU Tigers (9-2, 7-4 ATS) are concerned as they prepare to complete their SEC regular-season slate on the road against the Texas A&M Aggies (4-7, 3-7-1 ATS).

The Tigers are 10-point away favorites over the Aggies. LSU is 10-0 against the spread in the last 10 games against Texas A&M. And a 10th win on the 2022 season this weekend would keep the #5 Tigers with an outside hope of grabbing one of the coveted four spots in the College Football Playoff.

LSU vs Texas A&M Betting Trends

In the public betting splits, people are all over the favored Tigers. In spread wagering, 79% of handle and 81% of bets in public money are going with the Tigers. The public likes LSU even more in the moneyline with 80% of handle and 94% of bets.

As far as the total, the public is going hard on the over. That’s garnering 77% of handle and 80% of bets. The total has gone over in four of LSU’s last five games and in four of the past six games between the Tigers and Aggies.

Balance Is Key For Tigers

LSU is #33 in the NCAA in total offense (437.9 yards per game) and #34 in the nation in total defense (338.5 YPG). The Tigers rank among the top 50 in the country in rushing (34th) and passing (50th) offense and rushing (42nd) and passing (40th) defense.

Whether they’re running or throwing the ball, it’s quarterback Jayden Daniels who’s setting the standard for LSU. He’s thrown for 2377 yards and 15 touchdowns against two interceptions. As well, Daniels has run for a team-leading 740 yards and 11 TDs. Seven different receivers have caught TD passes for the Tigers this season.

The Tigers have already clinched the SEC West title. A showdown with the #1 Georgia Bulldogs for the SEC title is awaiting LSU on December 3. Win these next two games and a berth in the CFP might be the Tigers’ for the taking. However, to do so, LSU will need to make history. No two-loss team has ever made the CFP semifinals.

Lost Season For Aggies

When the college football season kicked off, Texas A&M was sitting at #6 in the top-25 rankings. Today, they are sitting there with six straight SEC losses.

Texas A&M needed to scrape and claw their way to a 20-3 victory last week over one-win UMass. That was the first triumph for the Aggies since September.

The Aggies are the #2 pass defense in the nation (152.5 yards per game). However, Texas A&M is 123rd in run defense (211.0 YPG). Running back Devin Achane has rushed for 887 yards and six TDs. He’s also caught nine passes, three of which went for TDs. Achane added a 10th TD on a kick return.

LSU vs Texas A&M Prediction

Tennessee’s loss to South Carolina opened the door to get LSU to #5. But with #6 USC playing #15 Notre Dame, the Tigers may need to put on an impressive display against unranked Texas A&M in order to maintain that #5 ranking.

The Aggies are 15-4 SU in their last 19 home games. However, they are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games against LSU. The Aggies are 2-4-1 ATS at home this season and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven overall games. Texas A&M did play Alabama tough before falling 24-20

Pick: LSU Tigers -10 (-110)
