The Week 6 college football slate continues on Saturday with 20 games featuring ranked teams. Three of those contests pit ranked opponents against one another, with the SEC showdown between #8 Tennessee and #25 LSU projected to be the tightest affair.

For the second time in three weeks, #2 Georgia is the biggest favorite on the board in the college football odds. The Bulldogs failed to cover back in Week 4 when they held that honor, and came dangerously close to being upset in Week 5 by Missouri, despite being the massive road chalk.

Georgia is currently a 29.5-point home favorite over SEC rival Auburn. The Bulldogs have underwhelmed against the spread so far in 2022, covering just twice, which partly explains why money is pouring in on the Tigers late in the week.

Auburn vs Georgia Spread

Georgia opened as the 28-point chalk over Auburn, but that number was quickly bet up to 29.5 and even 30. Since then though, the betting action has been one-sided in favor of the Tigers. 72% of the against the spread bets as well as 69% of the ATS money is backing Auburn.

The Tigers are fresh off a hard-fought loss versus #25 LSU, before previously beating a Missouri team that nearly stunned the Bulldogs. Georgia trailed by 10 points with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter versus Missouri, before a pair of late touchdowns propelled them to a 26-22 victory.

Georgia didn’t come close to covering the 30.5-point spread, and have now failed to cover three of their past four games by 11 points or more.

Kansas State vs Iowa State Spread

The smallest spread on the board in a contest featuring ranked teams hails from the Big 12. #20 Kansas State is a 1-point favorite over Iowa State, after the game opened as a pick’em. The Wildcats are undefeated so far in conference play, while the Cyclones are winless versus Big 12 opponents, and public bettors believe that trend is going to continue.

86% of the spread tickets are backing Kansas State at the moment, as is 67% of the ATS money. Before you run to the window to back the Wildcats though, it’s worth noting the bets that are on Iowa State are of the big money variety. Just 14% of the against the spread wagers are making up 33% of the betting handle. That usually indicates sharp action, and could prevent this line from creeping further in Kansas State’s favor.

Oregon vs Arizona Total

If you like offense, staying up for Pac-12 After Dark is a must. This week’s highest totalled game featuring a ranked team is between #12 Oregon and Arizona, in a matchup that doesn’t kick off until 9 pm ET.

The Ducks have put up 40+ points in each of their four games since losing to Georgia in Week 1, and rank 30th in the nation in scoring. They also rank 99th in scoring defense, which elevates the Wildcats’ offensive ceiling in this matchup.

As of Friday morning, the betting action on the total is nearly 50-50, which indicates there likely won’t be any movement to the 70.5-point total.

Kansas State vs Iowa State Total

For the lowest totalled game, we revert back to the K-State-Iowa State matchup. Their 45-point total is the lowest in a game featuring a ranked program, and the sharps are hammering the under.

27% of the wagers on the total are currently making up a whopping 58% of the over/under money.  The Wildcats and Cyclones rank 15th and 16th respectively in defensive efficiency, and have combined to see six of their 10 games fall under the total.

Texas A&M vs Alabama Spread

No game has seen a bigger movement to its point spread than the Texas A&M and #1 Alabama matchup. The Crimson Tide opened up as 20-point favorites, but that number has been bet up to -24.

The status of reigning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young remains up in the air as he nurses a shoulder injury, but bettors seem comfortable backing Bama whether it’s him or redshirt freshman Jalen Milroe under center. 58% of the spread wagers are backing the Crimson Tide, as is 63% of the ATS money.

Give the public’s love for Bama expect those numbers to increase by game time, which could push the line further in their favor.

Ohio State vs Michigan State Spread

In terms of the biggest total move of the week, that belongs to the #3 Ohio State and Michigan State contest. The Buckeyes lead the nation in offensive efficiency and have scored at least 45 points in four straight.

This game’s over/under has been bet up from 61.5 to 65, and the line movement may not be done yet. 60% of the over/under tickets are backing over 65, as is 60% of the money that’s been wagered on the total.
