The Tennessee Titans have decision to make in terms of their starting quarterback position, and meeting the Green Bay Packers this Saturday at 8 PM ET at the LP Field, will help them clear it up.

New head coach Ken Whisenhunt is the one making the decision for Tennessee as they have Jake Locker as the leading candidate to become the starter, but rookie QB Zach Mettenberger could have a shot at the position if he does well in the preseason.

“I’m always on Mettenberger a lot because I see potential in him,” Titans safety Bernard Pollard said. “I see what the guy can do. But at the same time, I want to challenge you. I want to (make you angry). I want to be in your ear as much as possible.

“He’s going to have to learn and understand that (Titans coaches) want something out of you,” he added. “They drafted you. The guy, I think, is going to be phenomenal. He’s sitting behind some veteran quarterbacks, but I still want to challenge him as much as possible.”

The Packers have starting QB in Aaron Rodgers, and as we all know, he’s pretty darn good; however, don’t expect Green Bay to show anything in the preseason, considering they open the year against Seattle on September 4th.

“What we plan on doing for Seattle is nothing we’ve been practicing outside,” Head coach McCarthy said. “And frankly, we probably won’t show it the first four weeks of preseason.”

The Titans are 1.5 point favorites in preseason betting odds.
