Considering the hot mess that was Tampa Bay’s quarterback situation last season, those are fairly solid totals to accumulate.
He will provide Titans QB Marcus Mariota with an ideal option to target in the short and mid-range passing game. Humphries was signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson in 2015.
Adam Humphries last season had more catches than Larry Fitzgerald, Alshon Jeffery, Julian Edelman and Emmanuel Sanders.
He had more receiving yards than DeSean Jackson, Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson and Larry Fitzgerald.

His numbers have grown steadily better with each season. He caught 61 balls for 631 yards in 2017. That was up from the 622 yards he garnered from 55 receptions in 2016. As a rookie, Humphries grabbed 27 passes and went for 260 yards.

Last season was truly a breakthrough campaign for Humphries in terms of taking it to the house.
His five touchdown receptions were a career high. They were also one more than his total TD catches during his first three NFL seasons combined.
Adam Humphries:
• 1 drop on 81 catchable targets last season
• T-12th in the NFL in yards per route run in the slot last season per @PFF
• would’ve led the #Titans in receptions and receiving TDs last season— Mike Herndon (@MikeMiracles) March 11, 2019
Humphries is a sure-handed, reliable receiver. He dropped just one ball last season. He’s fumbled once during his NFL career. He’s also churned out 414 of his 816 yards in yards after catch, so he’s more elusive than you might think.

He’s also one of the most trustworthy third-down players in the NFL, and that’s an area where the Titans’ offense could use a boost. They were 15th in the NFL at third-down conversions last season (82 of 205).
How Will It Add Up For Adam?
In case you were still wondering exactly how good Humphries is, the team that the Titans pipped for his services was the New England Patriots.

Bill Belichick and his player personnel staff aren’t wrong about too many players. Humphries also returns punts, so he brings that to the field as an added bonus.
Titans offense:
QB Marcus Mariota
RB Derrick Henry / Dion Lewis
WR Corey Davis
WR Adam Humphries (slot)
WR Taywan Taylor
TE Delanie Walker— Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) March 11, 2019
His career has trended steadily upward, and Humphries just moved to a deeper, better club with more weapons. Keep that in mind as you make your wagers and play the over in both of these instances.
