Broncos Enjoying Rare Win Streak
Denver is coming off its first shutout victory in almost two years, a 16-0 win over the visiting Tennessee Titans as 1-point chalk last weekend that lifts the team’s record to 2-4 going into Thursday night’s Chiefs vs Broncos matchup at Mile High.

The Broncos have turned in big defensive performances in each of their two recent victories. The Denver defense limited the Titans to just 204 total yards while forcing three turnovers after shutting down Los Angeles n Week 5, holding the Chargers to just 246 yards while taking away the ball on three occasions.
Despite opening the season with four straight losses, the Broncos sit among the league leaders in team defensive stats, ranking seventh with just 17.7 points per game allowed, while the Denver pass defense has allowed just four total touchdowns, and ranks fourth with just 196 passing yards allowed per game.
Low Scoring the Norm in Broncos’ Home Contests
But it has been over a year since the Broncos recorded consecutive home wins, with the squad going 2-7 SU in nine contests since. Denver has also struggled to reward sports bettors, going 5-10-1 ATS in 16 outings since October 2017. In addition, low-scoring affairs have been the norm when the Broncos play at home, with the point total finishing under 40 in six of their past 10, fueling a steady 9-1 run for the “Under” in totals betting.

However, those low-scoring trends do not extend to recent visits from the Chiefs. Broncos have fallen to defeat in each of the Chiefs’ past four visits, and are winless ATS in their past five, with the point total topping 50 in each of their past three.
Chiefs Enduring Two-Game SU Slide
That’s good news for the Chiefs, who’ll be looking to kickstart their offense on Sunday, and snap a two-game SU slide. Kansas City dropped a stunning 31-24 decision to the Houston Texans as 3.5-point home favorites last week, snapping a five-game SU win streak in regular-season action.

The Chiefs’ current swoon opened with the team’s worst offensive performance in almost two years, a 19-13 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and has impacted the team’s position in Super Bowl betting, where they have now slipped to third on the odds board as a +700 wager.
Chiefs Hobbled by Untimely Injuries
Kansas City has regularly run up the score on the road, averaging 34 points per game in three straight victories. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been outstanding under center, throwing for over 378 yards per game in those contests, and has connected on three or more scoring passes in seven of his past eight road appearances.

However, the Chiefs will be severely shorthanded in Thursday’s matchup. While Mahomes struggles to play through an ankle injury, he may be doing so behind a porous offensive line that will be missing offensive tackle Eric Fisher and guard Andrew Wylie.
In addition, receiver Sammy Watkins has been ruled out for a second straight week with a hamstring injury, further hobbling the Chiefs attack, and leaving Kansas City ripe for an upset defeat and a third straight loss on Thursday Night Football.
