If we’re just going off just body language, then AJ Brown would rather be anywhere else than Philadelphia these days. The disgruntled wide receiver spent 2025 complaining, arguing with coaches and even reading a book on the sidelines. That’s not exactly the behaviour of a happy employee, and prediction markets are suggesting his days are numbered with the Eagles.
According to a Kalshi, there’s an excellent chance he’s on a different team in 2026, but as we’ll discuss it might make more sense for Philadelphia to try and mend the relationship, rather than send him packing.
Below, you’ll find the complete list of AJ Brown’s next team odds, as well as which teams are the most likely to try and pry him away from the Eagles.
As of Wednesday, February 18th, Brown has a 38% chance of staying in Philly. That’s down from a 90% chance of remaining an Eagle on Super Bowl Sunday, just hours before the Patriots, his most likely suitor, were dismantled by the Seahawks.
There’s no shortage of teams who would benefit from his services, with Super Bowl odds contenders Buffalo and Baltimore also in the mix. I think Denver would be an ideal landing spot for him if the Eagles were to move on, but that scenario is more likely after the 2026 season.
Brown Isn’t Likely to Fly Away
There are two primary reasons why the best bet in this market is for Brown to stay put. For starters, if the Eagles trade him before June 1st they’ll be stuck with a $43.5 million dead money cap hit, which represents roughly 14% of their salary cap. That’s not an insurmountable number, but also not a penalty a team that’s still in its championship window is looking to pay.
AJ Brown Receiving Yards – Last 4 Seasons
The second reason is that they’d be selling Brown at the bottom of his market. The second team All-Pro is coming off the least productive season of his Philadelphia tenure, where he averaged a career-low 12.9 yards per catch. Experts believe his downfall was the product of poor scheme and quarterback play rather than diminished skills, and Philadelphia has tried to address those issues with a new offensive coordinator.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman is arguably the best GM in football, and he’s not just going to let a top-5 receiver leave his franchise unless the haul in return is massive. Roseman shot down the idea of trading Brown last month, and it’s worth noting they can move on from him following the 2026 season for a fraction of what it would cost to get rid of him now.
Patriots Surging to Acquire Brown
The Patriots have been linked to Brown for multiple offseasons now, so it’s no surprise their chances of acquiring him are surging. Brown used to play for New England head coach Mike Vrabel in Tennessee, and the Pats could clearly use a bonafide number one receiver for NFL MVP odds finalist Drake Maye after what we saw in the Super Bowl.
New England has the ammo to offer Philadelphia a ton of draft picks, but the notion that they have nearly as good a chance to have Brown on their team next year as the Eagles (32% vs 38%) is laughable. I doubt Roseman would even pick up the phone unless at least one first round pick was offered up, if not more, and everything that’s been reported so far is New England is only offering Day 2 picks.
Of course the Patriots could sweeten the deal by sending some young talent back the other way, but Christian Gonzalez would likely be the only player Roseman would covet, and New England isn’t parting with their star corner.
Broncos in Play for AJ Brown
Speaking of corners, Denver has abundance of riches at that position as well as other key spots like offensive line and pass rusher that could get the Eagles excited.
The Broncos were one win away from a Super Bowl appearance themselves, and could desperately use a top-5 receiver talent to boost Bo Nix’s ceiling. Playing in a Sean Payton offense is usually enticing to any offensive player, and Denver would be the team I’d invest in if I wanted to dabble in the AJ Brown next team market.
