The Denver Broncos (3-0) host the Baltimore Ravens (2-1) tomorrow as part of Week 4 action. Kickoff is at 4:25 pm, and the temperature is expected to reach highs in the mid-70s during the day.

Baltimore travels to Denver this week having escaped Detroit with a last-second win courtesy of a record-breaking 66-yard field goal by Justin Tucker to win the game as time expired. Denver, meanwhile, obliterated the winless New York Jets by a final score of 26-0 in a confidence-building game heading into their first real test of the season.

The Ravens are favored, and have a talented offense. That being said, their talent lies primarily with Jackson, their electrifying dual-threat quarterback, and running backs Ty’Son Williams, Latavius Murray and DeVonta Freeman. While they do have two household names at receiver in Sammy Watkins and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, their receiving corps is their weak spot offensively. This is not helpful given that Jackson is often considered more prolific with his legs than his arm.

Further complicating matters is the fact that Denver has been elite against the pass so far this year, allowing just 162.3 yards per game. That’s good for a top-three ranking across the NFL. Although this top-tier ranking has been attained against less-than-stellar competition, they must be considered elite until somebody proves they aren’t.

And I don’t think Baltimore is the team to do it this week.

Teddy Bridgewater vs Baltimore’s Secondary

Teddy Bridgewater has gone over his total in two of Denver’s three games this season, throwing for 264 yards in Week 1 and 328 yards in Week 2. Last week, Bridgewater only threw for 235 yards. However, this was on just 25 attempts, as Denver obliterated the Jets by a final score of 26-0, and was leading 20-0 going into the fourth quarter.

This week is the perfect opportunity for Bridgewater to go over 250 yards, with Baltimore coming into this game with the 30th-ranked secondary in terms of passing yards allowed per game (314.7 passing ypg allowed). Also, with this game being essentially a pick’em, expect Bridgewater to easily pass the 25 pass attempts he recorded in last week’s blowout.

Rooney’s Pick: Teddy Bridgewater Over 244.5 Passing Yards (-115) 0.5 units

Lamar Carrying the Ravens

Lamar Jackson has rushed for 86, 107 and 58 yards in each of his first three games this season.

Context is also important here: His lowest rushing output, 58 yards, came on just 7 carries, which was good for nearly 8.3 yards per carry. If Jackson had just three more carries for an even 10, he would have likely had close to an 80-yard day. (For what it’s worth, DraftKings has set his over/under on total carries this week at 10.5).

Against a Denver defense that has so far been top-tier against the pass, Baltimore is going to have to find a way to move the ball and put up points if they want to win this game, and I can see Lamar putting the team on his back and picking up the yardage himself with his legs.

I really like both of these plays today. That being said, if you were only going to play one, Jackson’s rushing yards prop is the one that I would go with.

Rooney’s Prop Play of the Day: Lamar Jackson Over 63.5 rushing yards (-115) 1 unit
