The marquee late Sunday afternoon tilt in Week 15 pits the Bengals against the Buccaneers. Cincinnati enters play in a dogfight with Baltimore for top spot in the AFC North, while Tampa Bay is clinging to first in the NFC South despite a disappointing 6-7 record.
Speaking of disappointing, that’s the only word to describe the Bucs defensive effort versus the 49ers last week. Tampa Bay surrendered 35 points and 209 rushing yards to Christian McAffrey and Co., and will now have to deal with Joe Mixon.
The Cincy RB headlines our Bengals vs Buccaneers player props card, as his rushing yards prop is far too low given his talent and the gapping hole in the middle of the Tampa Bay defensive line.

CIN vs TB Prop #1: Joe Mixon Over 52.5 Rushing Yards
Mixon rushed for 96 yards on just 14 carries against Cleveland. It marked his second 95+ yard performance in three games, and the second time in that many outings he’s averaged at least 6.9 yards per attempt.
The Buccaneers’ run defense has been a strength of their team in recent years, but it’s fallen apart with the loss of nose tackle Vita Vea. They surrendered 5.8 yards per carry to San Francisco last week, and were gashed for 189 rushing yards by Cleveland just two games prior.
Joe Mixon Rushing Stats – Last 5 Games
ATT | YDS | TD |
---|---|---|
14 | 96 | 0 |
7 | 20 | 0 |
22 | 153 | 4 |
8 | 27 | 0 |
17 | 58 | 1 |
The Bucs cough up an average of 5.5 yards per carry on runs to the right by enemy RB’s, and it just so happens that Mixon averages 5.8 yards per attempt when rushing in that direction.
Pick: Joe Mixon Over 52.5 Yards (-110), 1 unit
CIN vs TB Prop #2: Cameron Brate Under 14.5 Receiving Yards
The Buccaneers are 3.5-point underdogs in this matchup, which hints at a pass-heavy game script for them. While that will likely be the case, don’t expect too many directs to be headed Cameron Brate’s way.
Brate has been Wally Pipped by Cade Otton. The latter tight end has more than doubled Brate’s production this season earning Tom Brady’s trust specifically in the red zone.

That will push Brate even further down the pecking order of an already crowded pass-catching corps. The group features names much more talented than him, including Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Leonard Fournette and Rachaad White.
Brate has just a 54.5% reception rate this season, and has cleared 14.5 receiving yards only once in his past four games.
Pick: Cameron Brate Under 14.5 Receiving Yards, 1 unit

As far as the anytime TD market goes, Mixon is the favorite to find the end zone. He’s followed by the entire Bengals’ starting wide receiver corps, but a little further down the board we’ll find Godwin.
CIN vs TB Prop #3: Chris Godwin Anytime TD
Godwin has 10 more targets and 14 more catches than anyone else on the Bucs roster despite missing nearly two full games.
Bucs WR Chris Godwin has been one of the busiest wideouts in the league since returning from injury in Week 4. He has 96 targets in his last 9 games. pic.twitter.com/LFV09kuJeX
— Field Yates (@FieldYates) December 10, 2022
He’s morphed into Brady’s most trusted weapon, scoring twice in his past four contests. Godwin also leads all Tampa players in targets inside the opponents’ 20 and 10-yard line. With Brady expected to be throwing early and often on Sunday, Godwin is a strong value to catch a touchdown.
Pick: Chris Godwin Anytime TD (+165), 1 unit
