The Bengals have a whopping three former Broncos on the injury report. Noah Fant has been ruled out with a concussion, but both Samaje Perine and Dalton Risner have a chance to play. Fant spent his first three seasons in Denver before being shipped out in the ill-fated Russell Wilson trade. Perine played the 2023 season in Denver while Risner spent four seasons with the Broncos.

Perine only has six touches in three games, but he is useful as a pass protector and option out of the backfield. He has at least 25 catches in each of the last four seasons.

Risner has played 78% of Cincinnati’s snaps this season at right guard. So far, he has a PFF grade of 46.4 with a 44.1 run-blocking grade and 57.8 pass-blocking grade. A better pass protector than run blocker, Risner has allowed one sack on 95 pass-blocking snaps this season.

Two young Bengals defenders are dealing with an injury. First-round pick Shemar Stewart has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Stewart also missed last week’s game against the Vikings. Cam Taylor-Britt (hamstring) also missed last week, but he has a chance to play on Monday night. He has two pass deflections on the season after having 16 last season.

The Broncos are remarkably healthy with only Marvin Mims on this week’s injury report. Mims is third on the team in targets behind Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin. If he cannot go, expect third-round pick Pat Bryant to step in as the third receiver for the Broncos.
