The Week 13 NFL slate continues with a Black Friday tilt between the Bears (8-3, 4-2 away) and Eagles (8-3, 4-1 home). Chicago has put together an improbable four-game winning streak, but it’s important to note the quality of competition, or lack there of. Chicago has beaten three of the worst teams in football, plus a pair of backups, so they’re in for a rude awakening versus the defending champs.

I’m fading the Bears in the player props market, while targeting a big day for Philly’s Saquon Barkley.

I’m starting my Bears vs Eagles player props card with under 18.5 completions for Caleb Williams. Philly has clamped down on both Jared Goff and Jordan Love in recent weeks, and both of those QB’s grade out significantly higher than Williams per the advanced metrics.

Bears vs Eagles Player Prop Bet #1: Caleb Williams Completions

• Caleb Williams Under 18.5 Completions (+108 at FanDuel)

One of the main reasons why I love this player prop, is Williams’ hesitancy to throw into tight windows. The sophomore ranks 30th in completion percentage over expectation, and won’t have the luxury of having receivers running wide open like in previous weeks.

Over the course of their winning streak, Chicago didn’t face a single defense ranked above 15th per DVOA. The Eagles are a top-three Super Bowl odds contender, and feature one of the best defenses in football, ranking top-seven in EPA/pass and success rate, and top-eight in pass rush.

Also working against Williams is the weather forecast. High winds and heavy gusts are expected throughout the game which can wreak havoc on the passing game. Philadelphia has allowed the ninth fewest completions so far this season, and don’t have a single injury to worry about in their secondary.

Bears vs Eagles Player Prop Bet #2: D’Andre Swift Rushing Attempts

Sticking with our fade of the Bears, I’m also betting under 10.5 rushing attempts for D’Andre Swift. The former Eagle has been losing carries to Kyle Monangai, who’s proven to be the more efficient runner.

Monangai ranks significantly better in EPA/rush and total EPA, as well as yards after contact. Chicago will want to lean on the more physical back in this contest, otherwise the fierce Philly d-line will eat them alive.

The Eagles grade out as the seventh best run defense per PFF, while Swift is fresh off a game where he averaged a pathetic 1.9 yards per carry.

Shifting over to the Bears vs Eagles anytime touchdown props, where I’m not going to get cute. I’ll eat the chalk with Saquon Barkley at -115 odds, as this matchup sets up extremely well for him.

Bears vs Eagles Player Prop Bet #3: Saquon Barkley Anytime TD

Chicago’s run defense is the weakest on the field today. They rank 22nd in EPA/rush, and 19th in rushing TD allowed. PFF grades them as a bottom-eight run stopping unit, and Barkley’s usage is trending up.

He’s averaged 19+ carries per game in his last three outings, and should have plenty of volume again based on the favorable matchup and the questionable weather conditions. Also working in his favor, is the fact that the Bears just ruled out each of their three starting linebackers.
