Everyone knows about TreVeyon Henderson barely playing in the AFC Championship Game. We all watched it and saw what happened. By the end of the game, he had only played four offensive snaps. That’s not enough to do anything.

Still, the guy had an amazing rookie season, and if we were smart, we’d try to figure out what the hell is going on with his playing time.

The “experts” want us to believe that TreVeyon wasn’t on the field because of his pass blocking. Maybe that’s true, maybe it isn’t. But what if the Patriots figured Jarrett Stidham couldn’t beat them, and went into the game with the idea that they would just let the big dog (Rhamandre Stevenson) handle the workload? In other words, it was a gameplan thing specific to the Broncos? That would change a lot about how we want to play TreVeyon against Seattle.

We all know Seattle can play defense. That’s why they’re here in the Super Bowl. But one area teams chose to attack them all season was the running back in the pass game. In fact, no team in the NFL allowed more receptions to the running back position this season. Sure, they had to play the 49ers twice, and they force-feed Christian McCaffrey all the time, but they played the Rams twice, and only two teams in the league threw to their running backs less. It all evens out.

If you own a television or have a social media account, then you have certainly been subjected to the Matthew Stafford/Drake Maye MVP debate. For those who don’t know, it was a ridiculously close vote that saw Stafford take home the hardware. That’s led to way too many narratives about each player actually sucking and not deserving of the award. It’s been a tough couple of days.

No matter what we think of who should have been MVP, one thing we know for sure is that Drake Maye will be playing this weekend while Stafford will be home watching.

People are calling Drake a fraud because he didn’t play anyone this season, but what if the real frauds are the Seahawks’ defense? How hard is it to look good against Max Brosmer, Kirk Cousins, Phillip Rivers, Cam Ward, Jacoby Brissett, Aaron Rodgers, and Spencer Rattler? That’s not exactly a Murderers’ Row of quarterbacks.

If we want to compare apples to apples, why not look at how the Seahawks fared against Matthew Stafford? The last two times they saw him, he lit them up for 374 and 457 yards. Not to mention, three touchdown passes in both games. Those are video game numbers. I’m thinking Drake for 250+ and 2+ Passing TDs could easily be our path to glory in this thing. Feels easy.
