Two teams with Super Bowl aspirations at the beginning of the season will meet when the Buffalo Bills (7-5) take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3). Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s with a slight wind and little chance of precipitation for this one.

The Bills will ride into Florida losers of three of their last five games after falling to the New England Patriots 14-10 in Week 13. In their defense, the weather in last week’s game was to blame for any and everything but still, a loss is a loss. As for the Buccaneers, they manhandled their division rival, Atlanta Falcons, 30-17 in a game that wasn’t really close.

Bills vs Buccaneers Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Buffalo Bills +3.5 (-120) +145 O 54 (-110)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3.5 (+100) -165 U 54 (-110)

Odds as of December 10th at DraftKings

The current odds are showing the Buccaneers as 3.5-point favorites after taking in 86% of the early wagers from NFL Public money. The total is sitting at 54 after hovering between 52.5 and 53 for the better part of the week. It looks like the streets are starting to trust in these two offenses.

Buffalo Bills Outlook

The Buffalo Bills are slipping into territory they do not want to be in and that is the AFC Wild Card position. If that happens, it makes their road to the Super Bowl even more difficult than it has to be. Many are even wondering if they are a Super Bowl caliber team at this point after losing five games already.

One thing I know is, they have Josh Allen on their team and since that’s the case, they can’t be counted out.

Last week against the Patriots, the Bills looked terrible in all facets of the game. Obviously the offense was going to take a hit with the minds gusting at 50+ mph, but the defense giving up 222 rushing yards was a giant surprise. If they have any chance against the Buccaneers this week, that issue will need to be addressed. The last thing you want to give Tom Brady is a run game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Outlook

When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8 it looked like there could be cause for concern. That concern grew when they came out of their bye and lost their next game to the Washington Football Team. But after three straight wins they have seemingly gotten back on track for another Super Bowl run.

Even with a 44-year-old quarterback, they are still in a great spot to make another title run.

Last week the Buccaneers handled the Atlanta Falcons in a pretty convincing fashion. Their defense only gave up one offensive touchdown on the day and no points after halftime. Tom Brady threw four touchdowns on the day which was a recipe for disaster for the Falcons since they couldn’t move the ball. The Buccaneers look like they are ready for all comers at this point.

Bills vs Buccaneers Best Bet

Everyone knows that the way to go on a game like this is with the over. It’s fun and it’s never completely dead until the clock strikes zero. With both of these offenses, points could be coming in bunches even though both defenses are borderline elite units.

Even though the defenses in this game rank in the top eight in the NFL, they can still be scored on by good offenses. Stats are fun and all but all it’s going to take is one of these teams to start chasing points and then, bam, a shootout breaks out. Tampa Bay leads the NFL in points per game so it’s not crazy to think they hang 30+ on Sunday. The Bills are good enough to score in the 20s, especially if being forced to play even faster than they already play.

I think over 54 is the move in this one.
