  • Arrowhead Stadium  will be jumping when the Dallas Cowboys invade Kansas City to take on the Chiefs Sunday, November 21st

A possible Super Bowl matchup takes place this Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys (7-2) battle it out with the Kansas City Chiefs (6-4). Kick-off from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is scheduled for 4:25pm ET on FOX. Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 50s with a moderate wind and a 0% chance of precipitation.

The Cowboys answered the bell in Week 10 beating the Atlanta Falcons 43-3. Dallas was boat-raced by the Denver Broncos 30-16 the week before so the bounce back was reassuring to their Super Bowl aspirations. Meanwhile, the Chiefs won their third game in a row beating the Las Vegas Raiders 41-14 on Sunday Night Football.

Cowboys vs Chiefs Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Dallas Cowboys +2.5 (-105) +120 O 56.5 (-110)
Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 (-115) -140 U 56.5 (-110)

Odds as of November 18th at DraftKings.

The current odds show the Chiefs as 2.5-point favorites in this game although that number could move in any direction by kickoff. The total is resting at a sky-high 56.5 but with these offenses clicking, that could be done by halftime. Both teams can score points in a hurry which makes this one a must watch.

Dallas Cowboys Outlook

Everyone wondered how Dak Prescott would look this season after his horrific ankle injury last year. The injury itself was one of the most gruesome we’ve seen live on television and many wondered in the moment if he would even play again. Fast forward to right now and I’d say Prescott is pretty much back to normal.

Prescott is not doing things by himself as the Cowboys are loaded with talent on offense. Between Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard in the back field and Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb in the receiver room, Dallas is a lot to handle. They lead the NFL in points per game with 31.6 and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Kansas City Chiefs Outlook

The Kansas City Chiefs were looking like they were dead in the water just a few weeks ago. They weren’t throttling everyone like they had over the last couple years so we kicked them to the curb. Maybe it wasn’t that the Chiefs weren’t good anymore, maybe it was that we had set the bar too high for them. Specifically for their quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Last week against the Raiders, Patrick Mahomes was Patrick Mahomes again. Not only did he throw for over 400 yards, he also threw five touchdown passes. It was the second time this season he had five of his passes end up in the end zone in one game. It may be too early for the “Mahomes isn’t that great” talk.

Cowboys vs Chiefs Best Bet

This is the best game on the slate and it’s in the perfect time slot at 4:25pm ET. On paper the two offenses look like they will score all over the place. They certainly have the talent but at the end of the day, this one will come down to defense.

It sounds crazy to say but the Dallas Cowboys have the 4th best defense (DVOA) in the NFL right now. That’s up from 23rd last season which is a big reason they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. I don’t think they can shut down Mahomes and the Chiefs completely, but I do think they will do enough to win this game outright. We shouldn’t need the points on Sunday, go with Dallas on the moneyline.
