  • The dismal Dallas Cowboys visit the putrid Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night (8:20 EST)
  • Last week’s picks went 2-2, winning 0.6 units
  • See which props we like in a game where not much offense is expected

Oof! This one is gonna be rough.

NFC East matchups are usually a ratings darling, but Sunday Night Football is really going to test football fans’ patience when the 2-5 Dallas Cowboys visit the 2-4-1 Philadelphia Eagles, vying for first place in the worst division in NFL history.

The Cowboys are down to their third-string quarterback. The Eagles are injured everywhere else. There’s strong winds and rain in the forecast tonight. I don’t care what you did on Halloween night; this game is going to be the most horrifying thing you see all weekend.

Why not try and make it palatable by playing some of these props?

DiNucci Running For His Life

We don’t know much about Cowboys third-stringer Ben DiNucci. He was drafted out of James Madison in the FCS, and he’s made a few brief appearances this season in relief, but how this Dallas offense will look with the rookie under center is a complete unknown. Well, maybe not entirely unknown.

Thanks to numerous injuries, the once great Cowboys offensive line is a shell of itself. Dallas allowed six sacks last week to Washington, including three on DiNucci. They haven’t been able to rely on Ezekiel Elliott to keep the offense out of third-and-long situations, and he disappears when they are backed up.

Currently an 11-point underdog, it’s fair to assume Dallas will be playing catchup for most of the night. In these third-and-longs with Philly bringing pressure, look for the rookie to take off and make a few plays with his legs. DiNucci showed an ability to run at JMU, rushing for 569 yards in 2019.

If there’s one Dallas OVER to like, it’s DiNucci passing his modest rushing total.

Pick: 1 unit on DiNucci over 14.5 rushing yards (-112)

Great Scott!

The last few times we’ve played a running back to go over their total yards, injuries ultimately spoiled our wager. A similar fate befalling Boston Scott seems to be just about the only thing that would stop him from torching this Cowboys defense tonight.

Starting in place of Miles Sanders against the Giants, Scott tallied 92 total yards, including the game-winning touchdown.

The last three running backs to play the Cowboys have all went over 85 total yards against this defense, including monster games from Antonio Gibson and Kenyan Drake in back-to-back weeks. Again, the most likely game-script for this one is Philly getting up big, meaning Scott should have plenty of opportunities to hit the OVER here.

Pick: 1 unit on Boston Scott OVER 81.5 total yards (-112)

Goedert for Paydirt

Dallas Goedert will be getting back in the lineup tonight, which will be a welcome return for Carson Wentz. Third-string tight end Richard Rodgers got eight targets last week against the Giants, as Wentz continues to look over the middle, even with Zach Ertz and Goedert hurt most of this year.

The Cowboys have been awful at defending every position, but opposing tight ends have been notably productive against Dallas over the past few weeks, scoring in three of the last four games. Look for Goedert to keep that trend going tonight.

Pick: 1 unit on Dallas Goedert to score anytime (+250)
