Last week was rough for our NFL props. We only went 1-2, hitting on McBride but missing on Love and Kamara. That means it’s time to bounce back with a better Week 8 slate. Six teams are on bye this week, but that just means a sharper focus on the matchups that actually matter.
The NFL props market hasn’t fully adjusted to teams with major defensive deficiencies and injuries. Teams that looked solid early are showing real cracks after seven weeks of tape. We’re targeting three spots where elite players meet genuinely bad matchups.
Here are three NFL props built around defensive weaknesses that won’t fix themselves this week.

NFL Player Prop Pick: Ja’Marr Chase Receiving Yards
Joe Flacco’s turned into Chase’s best friend over the past two weeks. The 40-year-old gunslinger has targeted Chase 45 times in just two games, leading to 32 catches for 365 yards and four touchdowns. Those aren’t typo numbers. Chase set a Bengals franchise record with 16 catches on 23 targets against Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
The volume is absolutely insane. Chase is averaging 15 targets per game with Flacco under center, and they’re building undeniable chemistry. When Flacco needs a play, he’s looking for Chase every single time. The connection works because Chase wins against any coverage.
Now he gets the Jets, who just lost Sauce Gardner to a concussion. Gardner’s status for Week 8 remains uncertain, which could be huge for this matchup. Even if Gardner plays, he’s dealing with concussion protocol all week, which isn’t ideal prep time.
The Jets defense has shown some signs of life lately, holding Denver and Carolina under 20 points each. But those are two of the worst offenses in football. Cincinnati’s different. They’re desperate at 3-4 and still clinging to playoff hopes. Flacco’s shown he’s not afraid to let it rip, throwing 47 passes against Pittsburgh.
Chase has cleared 100 receiving yards in back-to-back games and posted at least 94 yards in his last three contests. The targets are there. The production is there. The quarterback trusts him completely. Against a Jets secondary that could be without its best cover corner, Chase should eat again.
- Early Bet: Ja’Marr Chase over 96.5 receiving yards

NFL Player Prop Pick: Bijan Robinson Rushing Yards
Miami’s run defense is the worst in the entire NFL. Not exaggerating. Dead last at 32nd in the league, allowing 159.3 rushing yards per game. The Dolphins have been absolutely gashed on the ground all season, and there are no signs of improvement coming.
Robinson’s been cooking lately. He’s posted 285 rushing yards on 50 carries over his last three games, averaging 5.7 yards per carry during that stretch. He rushed 14 times for 40 yards against the 49ers on Sunday Night, but that was more about San Francisco’s elite run defense than Robinson slowing down.
Atlanta’s rushing attack leads the entire league at 136.3 yards per game. They’ve built their offensive identity around feeding Bijan, and this matchup screams blowout potential. The Falcons are 7.5-point favorites at home, which means they should control the game and lean heavily on the ground game.
Miami’s allowing an absurd 170 rushing yards per game to running backs over the last three weeks. That’s not sustainable, but it shows how bad things have gotten. Jonathan Taylor just ran for over 120 against them. Even worse backs have found success pounding the rock against this defense.
Robinson should see 18-20 touches minimum in a game Atlanta wants to dominate on the ground. Tyler Allgeier will get his touches too, but Bijan’s the clear workhorse who gets the majority of carries. Against the league’s worst run defense at home as heavy favorites, this sets up perfectly for Robinson to have a monster day.
- Early Bet: Bijan Robinson over 88.5 rushing yards
NFL Player Prop Pick: D’Andre Swift Rushing Yards
Swift’s found something over the past two weeks. He’s rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries in back-to-back games. That’s 7.0 yards per carry over his last two outings, including a monster 124-yard performance against New Orleans in Week 7.
Baltimore’s run defense is a disaster. They rank 26th in the league, allowing 134.3 rushing yards per game. The Ravens are giving up 4.63 yards per carry to running backs and have surrendered multiple rushing touchdowns in three different games already this season.
The Bears have found their identity on the ground. They rushed for 222 yards in Week 7 and are averaging 129.3 yards per game on the season, ranking 8th in the NFL. Rookie Kyle Monangai has emerged as a solid complement to Swift, which keeps the veteran fresh and creates uncertainty for opposing defenses.
Chicago’s offensive line is playing better football. They’re allowing just 11 sacks all season, best in the entire league. That run blocking is translating to consistent gains on the ground. Swift’s posted 74 fantasy points over his last five games, rushing for 366 yards with three touchdowns on 72 carries.
The game script favors the Bears’ ground game. Baltimore’s 1-5 and getting Lamar Jackson back from injury. If Jackson plays and the Ravens offense clicks, Chicago might need to keep pounding the rock to control clock and limit Baltimore’s possessions. Swift should see 18-20 touches against a run defense that’s been gashed all year.
- Early Bet: D’Andre Swift over 69.5 rushing yards
