It’s playoff time, and the Giants couldn’t have asked for a better matchup as the sixth seed. They’ll face the Vikings in Minnesota, in a rematch of a Week 16 game that went down to the wire.

Daniel Jones diced up the underwhelming Minnesota defense in that outing, something that’s been happening a lot to the Vikings over the last couple months. Jones will show up on our Giants vs Vikings player props card, but first we’ll start with a play of Vikings QB Kirk Cousins.

Cousins currently boasts an over/under passing yards prop of 277.5, which is 36 yards more than Jones’. However, it’s not Cousins’ arm we’re targeting — it’s his legs.

NYG vs MIN Prop #1: Kirk Cousins Over 1.5 Rushing Yards

We’ll keep this simple. Cousins eclipsed this line seven times all season, including in Week 16 against New York. In each instance he did so, it was against a team that generated significant pressure off the edge.

The Giants enter play ranked seventh in pressure rate and feature a budding edge rush star in Kayvon Thibodeaux. The Oregon product closed the season by generating 21 pressures in his final six games, and should make Cousins uncomfortable all game long.

That’s going to force the Vikings QB out of the pocket and Cousins is athletic enough to scramble when open field is available.

Pick: Kirk Cousins Over 1.5 Rushing Yards (-120), 1 unit

NYG vs Min Prop #2: Daniel Jones Over 241.5 Passing Yards

Fun fact: Jones and the G-Men boast the 10th-best passing offense per DVOA, in spite of the fact that their leading pass catcher is running back Saquon Barkley.

Minnesota meanwhile, ranked 20th on defense per DVOA, allowing more yards per game than all but one team. Jones diced up the Vikings for 334 yards three weeks ago, and should be able to carve up the Minnesota secondary again.

Daniel Jones Stats – Week 16 vs Vikings

ATT-CMP YDS TD INT
30-42 334 1 1

Jones threw the ball 42 times in that outing, marking only the second time all year he’s thrown more than 35 passes. In a game that features a slate-high 48-point total, and one where the Giants are 3 point underdogs, expect similar volume from Danny Dimes.

Pick: Daniel Jones Over 241.5 Passing Yards (-120), 1 unit

NYG vs Min Prop #3: Darius Slayton Under 3.5 Receptions

When Jones does go to the air, don’t expect monster numbers from Darius Slayton. The 25-year-old runs the majority of his routes on the outside, and if there’s one area where the Minnesota defense is competent it’s defending the boundary.

Slayton has cleared three catches in only six of 13 games, and boasts a reception rate of 64.7%, which is the lowest among all New York players who’ve seen at least 30 targets.

Pick: Darius Slayton Under 3.5 Receptions (+105), 1 unit

As far as the anytime TD market goes, Dalvin Cook has the shortest odds of any Vikings player, but there’s a strong argument to be made that it should be his teammate Justin Jefferson instead.

NYG vs Min Prop #4: Justin Jefferson Anytime TD

Getting Jefferson at plus-money to score a touchdown is a steal. He found the end zone when these two teams met back in Week 16, one of his six scores at home this season.

Jefferson suffered some TD regression in 2022, scoring two fewer times than last season despite 20 more catches and 200 more receiving yards. His red zone role actually expanded this season though, as only Travis Kelce earned more targets inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.

In the biggest game of the season, expect Cousins to force feed Jefferson the ball in all situations, but especially in close.

Pick: Justin Jefferson Anytime TD (+100), 1 unit

Last week’s player props record: 2-1, +0.74 units
