Chiefs vs Chargers SGP Pick #1: Justin Herbert 240+ Passing Yards

The first leg of this SGP points me towards Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert tossing for over 240 yards. In six of his nine career games against his AFC West division rivals, the Chargers pivot has gone over that yardage through the air.

Last season, the Chiefs were fairly susceptible at allowing passers to rack up yardage, ranking 19th in yards allowed per game. In his last four outings of the campaign, Herbert threw for over 240 yards, with 284, 281, 346 and 242 (in the postseason) yard totals. With him being fresh to start the season without ailments, I’m bullish on him going over the total to start the SGP off with some juice.

KC vs LAC Same-Game Parlay Pick #2: Ladd McConkey Over 80+ Receiving Yards

If we’re going to go with Justin Herbert having a strong game, it only makes sense to pair that with his favorite target in the passing game. Ladd McConkey was top-10 in receiving yards (1,149) in 2024 as a rookie wideout and he came on extremely strong down the stretch, with 80+ yards in seven of his last eight outings.

On three of those occasions, he reached triple digits in yards, with totals of 123, 117, then a gargantuan 197 yards in a postseason affair against the Texans. With a second year in the system under Head Coach Jim Harbaugh and more of a connection with Herbert, it’s not a wild stretch to think he can pick up yards in chunks to get us on the brink of winning our same-game parlay wager.

Chiefs vs Chargers SGP Pick #3: Xavier Worthy Anytime Touchdown

Speaking of receivers coming off their rookie campaigns, the Chiefs also found a good one in Xavier Worthy, who picked up his play as the season wore on. He ended the regular season with a TD in the last two affairs, then found pay dirt three times in three postseason duels, including a pair in Super Bowl LIX vs the Eagles.

Last year, Worthy found the end zone in one of the two battles against the Chargers, putting up eight receptions for 114 yards in those games. He’ll also benefit from the six-game suspension and absence of fellow wideout Rashee Rice, who won’t be suiting up until at least Week 7 for KC.

Add it all up, and hitting on a +600 SGP would be a very nice payout for the Chiefs vs Chargers Friday night battle.
