Drafted by the Cardinals in 2019 with the #1 overall pick, Oklahoma product Kyler Murray is rumored to be on his way out of Arizona.
Prediction site Kalshi has opened a market on the longtime Cardinals’ next team, and the incumbent is not at the top of the board. Instead, another NFC team is given a 70% chance of being Murray’s next NFL team.
The fine print on this prediction market specifies Sep. 1 as the end date. Whichever team has Murray’s rights as of Sep. 1, 2026, will be adjudged the winner.
Kyler Murray Next Team Odds
Based on the recent trading prices of “Yes” contracts at Kalshi.com, Minnesota is listed as a heavy favorite to be Murray’s next team at 70%. No other team – including the incumbent Cardinals – has more than a 5% chance.
The 24 NFL teams not listed in the table are all given less than a 1% chance to be Murray’s next team.

Why Vikings Are Favored to Land Kyler Murray
The Minnesota Vikings are the clear frontrunner in the Murray “sweepstakes” according to Kalshi. Rumors are swirling that the Vikings are Cardinals are in trade talks about the soon-to-be 29-year-old.
Minnesota got subpar QB play throughout last season from oft-injured JJ McCarthy (himself a first-round pick in 2024) and journeyman Carson Wentz.
With Chicago’s Caleb Williams quickly blossoming into a top-tier pivot, the Vikings now look like the only team in the stacked NFC North without a franchise quarterback.
Murray, of course, comes with his own longevity concerns; he’s missed 21 games combined over the last three years.
Jets, Steelers Rumored to Be in the Mix
The NFL rumor mill is also swirling with talk of Murray to the Pittsburgh Steelers or New York Jets.
Pittsburgh QB Aaron Rodgers hasn’t committed to either playing or retiring next season, but he will turn 42 before the calendar flips to 2027.
The Jets gave former Bear Justin Fields a one-year trial. After finishing 3-14 with the worst point differential in the NFL, they are expected to move on.
