  • In the New England Patriots vs Arizona Cardinals inactive and injury reports for Monday Night Football, both teams are missing key wide receivers
  • Jakobi Meyers (concussion) is out for the Patriots
  • The Cardinals will be playing without Rondale Moore (groin)

When it comes to New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and Arizona Cardinals wideout Rondale Moore, both teams are growing used to being without the services of these key offensive skill position performers.

Meyers (conçussion) will be missing his third game of the season when these two teams clash in the Week 14 MNF game. He’s been limited in participation in terms of offensive snap counts in each of New England’s past two games.

As for Moore (groin), he’ll be missing his second successive game and fifth of the 2022 NFL season. He didn’t suit up for Arizona’s first three games of the campaign.

Moore and Meyers are among six starters who will be out of action for this game. New England is set as a 2-point road favorite over the Cardinals. The NFL odds are showing that the Patriots are 7-1 against the spread in the last eight games against Arizona.

Kickoff at State Farm Stadium is set for 8:15 pm ET on Monday, December 12. ESPN will be broadcasting the game.

The Patriots vs Cardinals public betting splits are displaying that people are divided in terms of spread wagering. However, it’s Arizona getting the majority of moneyline splits.

New England Patriots Injury Report

Meyers played 57% of offensive plays in last week’s loss to Buffalo. The week prior, he was limited to just 29% of offensive snaps in New England’s loss at Minnesota. He’s a key consideration in the Patriots vs Cardinals picks. Among New England wideouts, Meyers is leading the team in receptions (50), receiving yards (593) and touchdown catches (three).

He is one of two Patriots offensive starters listed as out for this game. Right tackle Isaiah Wynn (foot) will be sitting out his third successive game and for the fourth time in seven games. On defense, starting RCB Jalen Mills (groin) will be missing from action for the second week in a row.

Running back Damien Harris (thigh) is showing with an injury designation of doubtful. He’s missed three games this season, including last week against the Bills. Starting left tackle Trent Brown is listed as questionable due to illness. Backup offensive lineman Yodny Cajuste (calf) is also questionable.

Arizona Cardinals Injury Report

While Moore’s absence isn’t good news, on the other hand, WR DeAndre Hopkins (illness) saw his injury designation removed as he was returning to full practice participation later in the week.

Rashaad Coward, who started the last three games at LG, is out with a chest injury. He’s among six Cardinals offensive linemen who are either out or on injured reserve.

On defense, starting LCB Byron Murphy will be missing his fourth straight game due to a back ailment. Starting RDE Zach Allen is questionable due to illness. Backup DE Jonathan Ledbetter is questionable, also with a back injury. Reserve safety Charles Washington (chest) is questionable.

How Could Injuries Affect Patriots vs Cardinals Lines?

With Harris doubtful and Meyers out, New England RB Rhamondre Stevenson deserves a long look in the Patriots vs Cardinals player props. He’s turning into a double threat out of the backfield for New England. He’s had 6+ targets in six straight games and 6+ receptions in five of the past six games. Stevenson has also gone over 33.5 receiving yards in four out of six games.

Minus Wynn and with Cajuste questionable, look for Conor McDermott to be making his second successive start at RT for New England. McDermott spent the first 11 weeks of the season with the Patriots’ AFC East rivals the New York Jets. At the other tackle, Brown has been limited in practice all week long.

For the Cardinals, Cody Ford will be starting for Coward at RT. Look for Lecitus Smith to also be seeing some snaps. Greg Dortch is stepping up and filling in for Moore. His return to full practice status came during the week after being limited due to a thumb injury.
