Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders are heading for a divorce, and a new favorite has emerged to be his next team. That would be the Chicago Bears, who feel like their defense is one stud pass rusher away from vaulting them into a championship contender.
Prediction Market Kalshi lists the Bears with the shortest price to be Crosby’s next team, followed by the disgruntled star either staying in Vegas or retiring. Dallas checks in next, and their recent financial moves makes them an intriguing contender for Crosby’s services.

Maxx Crosby Next Team Odds
As of Tuesday morning, Chicago is trading at 48c to be Crosby’s next team, which gives them +108 odds to acquire him in traditional sports betting terms. The Cowboys on the other hand, are trading at 18c to land Crosby, which equates to +456 odds. That price is too good to pass up as I’ll discuss, and his presence would vault Dallas into the Super Bowl odds conversation.

Why Crosby Likely Won’t Land in Chicago
Before we discuss why Crosby to the Cowboys is an ideal fit, let’s poke holes in the notion of the Bears landing the pass rusher they desperately need.
Chicago ranked bottom-11 in pressure rate last season, and produced the ninth fewest sacks. As a result, their pass defense ranked in the bottom-half of the league in EPA / drop back and success rate, and yielded the 10th most yards through the air.
Crosby’s presence would instantly upgrade that unit, as this is a player who can get to the quarterback at an elite rate. He’s routinely in the NFL DPOY odds conversation, accumulating 44.5 sacks over the last four seasons.
The problem is, the Bears aren’t going to be able to make the money work. Crosby signed a massive extension with the Raiders in 2025, and will carry a $35.5 million cap hit in 2026. Chicago is already over the salary cap for next season, which will make fitting Crosby into their budget extremely difficult.
As nice as it would be to have Crosby, there are bigger holes to fill on the Bears roster, and that list keeps growing. Just this week starting center Drew Dalman retired, leaving a massive hole in the middle of their offensive line. Addressing that position with a young, fragile quarterback like Caleb Williams has to be priority number one right now.
Another reason to be down on a move to Chicago is the asking price. Vegas is reportedly seeking a package similar to what Dallas fetched for Micah Parsons, and the Bears reportedly aren’t willing to part with that much Draft capital.
Don’t forget, this is the same team that went all in on Khalil Mack a few years ago, and they’re just now digging themselves out of the hole that he cost them.
Don’t Sleep on Dallas
The Cowboys meanwhile, are desperate to upgrade their defense. This is a unit that finished dead last in passing yards allowed, and second worst in EPA / drop back. I think if they could do it over, they would have kept Parsons, but after adding Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams to their defensive line, Crosby could be the finishing piece on one of the most destructive front four’s in football.
We know Jerry Jones is willing to do whatever it takes to win, and let’s face it, he’s not getting any younger. The Cowboys already have an elite offense, and just restructured a handful of deals to open up a ton of salary cap space. They could easily fit Crosby under their cap, and they hold the #12 and #20 picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Dallas could part ways with one of those plus a Day 2 pick, and bring Crosby into the mix.
