After four up-and-down, injury-plagued seasons, Mike McDaniel has been let go by the Miami Dolphins. After yesterday’s shocking news that Baltimore had fired longtime head coach John Harbaugh, the Miami developments have led many to speculate that the ex-Baltimore boss is headed to South Beach.
Prediction site Kalshi has already opened a market on Miami’s next HC, and the elder Harbaugh immediately shot to the top of the board.

Is Harbaugh a Good Bet to Be Dolphins Next Head Coach?
The problem with betting Harbaugh at these odds is that he’s now basically one of the favorites for every opening in the league. He also has the best odds to be the next head coach of the New York Giants, and is listed as a prime contender for the Atlanta Falcons’ and Las Vegas Raiders’ positions.
It’s not a mystery why he’s high up on many, many lists.
During his 18 seasons in Baltimore, Harbaugh racked up a 180-113 regular-season record (.614 win percentage). He led the Ravens to the playoffs in 12 of those 18 seasons, posting a 13-11 postseason record, including one Super Bowl win.
His resume is as good as it gets.
Vance Joseph the Current Second-Favorite in Miami HC Odds
Former Denver Broncos HC – and current Broncos defensive coordinator – Vance Joseph is listed as the distant second-favorite, currently. Joseph is trading at 15¢ to land the job, compared to Harbaugh at 44¢. (For those new to prediction markets, every successful contract pays out $1. So if you purchase Harbaugh “yes” contracts at 44¢, you will profit 56¢ for every contract you bought if Harbaugh gets the job. If you purchase Joseph “yes” contracts at just 17¢, you will profit 83¢ on every contract if Joseph lands the gig.)
Joseph only got two years with the Broncos before he was relieved of his HC duties, spending a few seasons as the Arizona DC before returning to Mile High. Joseph went a disappointing 11-21 as the Denver head coach, but he was crucial in the team’s march to the AFC #1 seed in the 2026 NFL playoff bracket.
