MIA vs PIT Touchdown Pick #1: De’Von Achane Anytime TD (-115 at Fanatics)

De’Von Achane has scored 11 touchdowns this season, his third year in a row with at least 11 touchdowns. This season, he has seven rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns as the bellcow for this resurgent Miami squad. Achane has scored in nine of 13 games, scoring two in Miami’s win over Buffalo and the loss to the Chargers.

While I usually am reluctant to bet on minus-odds touchdown scorers, I feel Achane has a better than 50% chance to score on MNF. Achane is a premier dual-threat at the running back position, averaging 14.8 rush attempts and 4.2 catches per game. He is also a big-play threat, scoring five touchdowns of at least 29 yards this season.

The Steelers have allowed seven touchdowns to running backs this season. This includes five rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown (Zavier Scott), and a strange kickoff-return fumble touchdown (George Holani). The Steelers managed to keep Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, and Derrick Henry out of the endzone in previous matchups, but Achane provides a unique skillset as both a runner and receiver.

Notably, Achane is dealing with a rib injury, but he is expected to play.

MIA vs PIT Touchdown Pick #2: Kenneth Gainwell Anytime TD (+210 at BetMGM)

Kenneth Gainwell has scored six touchdowns this season. He has four rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. Gainwell has only scored in four games, scoring two rushing touchdowns against Minnesota and two receiving touchdowns against Cincinnati (Week 11). He scored a rushing touchdown last week.

Of the 33 touchdowns scored against the Dolphins, only eight belong to running backs. This including six rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown (Kimani Vidal), and a kickoff return touchdown (Antonio Gibson). Quinshon Judkins managed to score three touchdowns in Cleveland’s demolition of Miami.

While the Dolphins have managed to go five games in a row without allowing a running back touchdown, I like Gainwell as a dual-threat option. He is averaging 10 touches per game, rushing 80 times and catching 50 passes. He has six games this season with at least 10 touches, and he has scored in half of them.

MIA vs PIT Touchdown Pick #3: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Anytime TD (+1800 at BetMGM)

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has yet to score this season, but he has 19 career touchdowns, including nine last season with the Titans. He does not have a catch since November 9, but at 18-to-1, I am taking my chances on a previous touchdown machine.

Out of the 33 touchdowns allowed by the Steelers, 12 belong to wide receivers. Many of these are from the league’s best, including Ja’Marr Chase, Garrett Wilson, and Tee Higgins. However, the Steelers have allowed touchdowns to reserve receivers, including Tory Horton (in Week 2), and Savion Williams.

The best path for Westbrook-Ikhine is how Williams scored in Green Bay’s win over Pittsburgh. In the low red zone, Williams caught his only target of the day for an eight-yard touchdown. While he did have a 98-yard touchdown last season, 11 of Westbrook-Ikhine’s 19 career touchdowns have come within the 10-yard line.
