A 20-40 record over 3.5 seasons at the helm has spelled the end for heach coach Brian Daboll with the New York Giants. Ownership announced on Monday that Daboll would be let go, spurring immediate speculation about who the next permanent head coach will be for one of the NFL’s most-storied franchises.
Prediction site Kalshi has posted a market on who will be the next permanent head coach of the G-Men. As of Monday night, the market had been populated with over 20 names, but the opening prices had yet to be set.

Lane Kiffin Favored to Be Next Giants Head Coach?
The early frontrunner according to the rumor mill is Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, who was the Oakland Raiders HC in 2007 and 2008, finishing an ugly 4-12 in his first season and getting canned after a 1-3 start in ’08. His ouster in Oakland was one of the uglier departures, with Kiffin and owner Al Davis firing shots back and forth in a media circus.
Kiffin has been at Ole Miss since 2020, compiling a 30-17 win/loss record with the Rebels. He has yet to reach the CFP with Ole Miss, and the highest end-of-season rankings for any of his Rebels teams was 9th in 2023.
Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury High on the List on NYG Coach Candidates
The next name on the list at Kalshi is current Washington Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury. Kingsbury had a slightly longer and more-successful first go-round in the NFL compared to Kiffin. He led the Arizona Cardinals from 2019 to 2022, compiling a 28-37 win/loss record and reaching the playoffs once (losing to the LA Rams in the 2021 Wild Card).
Kalshi was offering a market on the next NFL coach to lose his job. Daboll was trading at abut 17¢ this morning – just one cent higher than Cleveland.s Kevin Stefanski – but that has soared to 99¢ now and that market will be closed imminently.
The graph below shows how that market has moved over the last couple weeks.
