To finish up Week 14, the Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) and Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) square off on Monday Night Football. The Eagles look to inch closing to locking up the NFC East while the Chargers look to keep within striking distance of the Broncos in the AFC West. ESPN and ABC will broadcast the 8:15 pm ET kickoff from SoFi Stadium on Dec. 8.
The Eagles are slight road favorites in the MNF odds. The public is leaning with the over in this cross-conference battle.
Eagles vs Chargers Betting Splits
As of Monday morning, the Eagles have the majority share of the ATS handle as 1.5-point favorites in the NFL public betting percentages. The Eagles are getting 64% of the ATS handle with a nearly equivalent 62% of all bets. On the other sideline, the Chargers are getting 36% of the ATS handle with 38% of bets placed on the 2.5-point underdogs. Fellow writer Chris Ambereley is walking with the public, backing the Eagles -1.5 in his Eagles vs Chargers picks and predictions.
With such a narrow favorite, the public is split on the moneyline. Only 21% of moneyline bets have come in on the Chargers, but a comparatively whopping 57% of the handle is on the Chargers winning. In contrast, the Eagles account for 79% of all moneyline bets, but those bets only amount to 43% of the handle. In other words, Chargers bettors are few in number, but they are wagering large amounts. Eagles bettors outnumber Chargers bettors nearly five-to-one, but they are more conservative in their bets.
The public is hammering the over on MNF. For the total handle, 84% is on the over with an exceptional 79% of all bets placed. The under, meanwhile, only accounts for 16% of the handle and 21% of the bets placed.

PHI Eagles vs LA Chargers Injury Reports
The Eagles will be without a Pro Bowler on both sides of the ball. Jalen Carter will miss his third game of the season, this time missing due to an injury to his shoulders. Without Carter, the Eagles will rely on Ty Robinson and Byron Young more on the interior.
On the offensive side, Lane Johnson will miss his third game in a row. Fred Johnson will replace the stalwart right tackle. Fred Johnson has played 298 offensive snaps and made three starts for the 2025 Eagles.
Both Marcus Epps and Myles Hinton have been designated to return from injured reserve. Epps could play this week, marking his first action since October. Hinton, a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Drat, has yet to make his NFL debut.
*Carter was retroactively suspended for Week 1. He missed Week 6 with an injury.
Despite having six players whose status is up in the air on Monday, only one Charger has been ruled out: reserve tight end Tucker Fisk. Fisk has just two catches on the season. Tyler Conklin and Will Dissly will take larger roles as blocking tight ends while Oronde Gadsden is the passing threat.
The Chargers’ running back room has been banged up, with Omarion Hampton returning from injured reserve and Hassan Hawkins designated for a return. Hampton last played in Week 5. Through five games, Hampton was averaging 90 scrimmage yards per game.
However, the key injury for the Chargers is quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert had surgery on his non-throwing hand, but he is in line to play. This is unlikely to affect Herbert as a thrower, but watch for his ball security both in the pocket and on handoffs.
While only Jamaree Salyer is on the injury report, it is worth noting that the Chargers will continue to be without both of their star tackles (Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt) for the duration of the season. Salyer has played left tackle, right guard, and right tackle throughout the season. Last week, he suited up for 67 snaps at left tackle.
